Mafia: Conspiracy 2: The Cabal Strikes Back! [Game Over]

The pleasant village of Cecil Cove is but a day’s journey from the unfortunate town of Cecilwich. Although the townsfolk there ultimately drove off the evil denizens, their suffering was great. And diabolic forces were not restricted to that locale only. Yes, even Cecil Cove is afflicted, for this very night, Mayor Ed Little lies broken on the commons. The Cove is abuzz with whispers and rumors:
“A bevy of **Werewolves **now hunts us. We’ll be eaten one by one.”
“You fool, wolves don’t come bevies; they’re Vampires. But we’ll still be eaten.”
“Suck it up, the world is full of suffering. I simply want to rest in peace, but the capitalist **Necromancers **won’t let us.”
“Yeah, they’re not even pretending to give living wages any more. The international **Cabal **will help us bring them down.”
“Pfah, the **Freemasons **are the truly secret society.”
“Ha, so secret they can’t even find their own rear ends. I’d rather trust the **Witches **than a bunch of guys in funny-looking hats.”
“Have you ever seen a witch’s hat? Besides I don’t trust that feminist mysticism, we need to use hard science to track down the miscreants. The **Detective **will find the scum with his superior forensic skills.”
“Science!? That doesn’t help those already dead. All the **Coroner **can do is probe your corpse.”
“The **Witchdoctor **is much more useful. And less invasive. As long as you don’t mind pins and body piercings.”
“Sounds like we’ll prodded no matter what. I’d rather not place too much hope in someone else bringing me back from the dead. Better to be proactive like the **Magician **and let someone else take one for the team instead.”
“The Warlock’s revenge is even more proactive.”
“No need to be so bloody. The **Vicar **keeps us safe without killing others.”
“You all are too focused on the past. The **Seer **will tell us the future.”
“Yes! And the **Vigilante **can eliminate that future threat.”
“They ain’t threats to a burly Scotsman.”

The gossip continues through the night. Despite the confusion and uncertainty, one thing is clear: action will be taken on the morrow.

The detailed rules are found in this Google doc. This edition of Conspiracy has been formulated for 15, 20, 25, or 30 players. Please express your interest in this thread before Thursday noon (PT) 11 Jun 2008. I will use as many players as possible. If more players express an interest than I have room for, I will randomly select from among those who are interested. For example, if 23 people are interested, I will randomly choose 20 players.

I hate myself, but I am in. I seem to be an addict of some sort.

In.

Oh geez…I’m having enough trouble keeping up in Cecilvania, and now you’re looking to start another game?

Ah, fuggit…I’m dead off-board, and I died way too quick in the original Conspiracy.

Puts hand up.

Please let me in?

I want to see if I can off that player with a grudge.

I don’t want to sign on just yet, as real life is very busy right now, but I know I’ll be keeping up with the thread so please note me as a potential substitute.

If Blam can do three games, so can I!

I need help. Someone save me.

The Vampire is back and ready for Round 2.

As I am about to hang in Cecilvania, count me in.

Sorry, druid, no substitutions in this game, only mod-kills.

I state in the rules page, but should probably repeat important points here:[ul]
[] Days are from Friday noon (PT) to Wednesday noon (PT). Nights are from Wednesday noon (PT) to Friday noon (PT). Exceptions: Night Zero will be from role announcements on Thursday until Monday noon (PT) 16 Jun 2008. Day One will be from that time until Wednesday noon (PT) 25 Jun 2008. [] Players may post freely both Day and Night. [] Each player must make a vote each Day or be mod-killed. Any player who edits a post in the game thread will be summarily mod-killed. No substitutions! [] No recruitment! [/ul] And, not in the rules, but should be known: expect a lot of death. The more players, the bloodier it will be.

Well, what the heck, I’ll go from a beginner game to one of the most complicated. I wasn’t even good for a beginner, must be a glutton for punishment. Put me in.

Hmmm. I’m tempted, very tempted… bah, sure, let’s try again: put me down.

/in, baby. I didn’t really get to do anything last game other than ride the Coroner’s coattails.

I’m In!

Hooo boy!

Gah I’m torn; I’m not keeping up as well with Cecilvania as I’d like, but hell…sub for now I guess?

Oh. Hell. Yes.

Well, what the hell. I sucked ass in Doperville - why not go whole hog? I’m in!

Gah…changed my mind. Full in!

Oh, what the hell, then, I’m in.

I’m in.
