Werewolf - a game.

My vote isn’t random. I picked Miller because of his lurker tendencies, and his knack of only showing up when someone says his name. Thin logic, maybe, but it’s logical. At the point when I picked him, he was the biggest lurker. That has changed, and part of me wants to change my vote to the lowest post count poster, who is hocow now… but that might be perceived as bandwagoning because someone else voted for her recently, or that I changed my vote because voting for Miller somehow made SP vote for me.

Soooo, I guess the FOS will get pointed where it will and not get all scared. I think I’ve been clear about my reasoning, though I don’t feel great about voting for Miller. Don’t know what else to do right now.

Don’t take it personally, Rubystreak. I’m being fingered for a couple of jokes, for agreeing with other posters and (I can’t help but believe this) my name. It’s a cruel world.

On the up side, if my neck gets stretched, I’ll look fabulous in long dangly earrings at my funeral.

Consistently stated, yes, but as you admit, not consistently followed, which makes me question your motives. I’m not the biggest lurker in this thread anymore, but maybe I’m still the biggest non-werewolf lurker here. I’m voting for Rubystreak.

Further, if Rubystreak does turn out to kick her hindleg when you rub her belly, we should all take a closer look at hocow, moonstarsun, and Captain Carrot. She might be covering for one or more of them.

Now, someone raised the point that I post a lot to the board in general, but not a whole lot to this thread. But if you look at my posting history, you’ll note that I don’t spend a lot of time in the “chat room” type MPSIMS threads. I didn’t post much during the first day, because the first day was all jokes about raisens and who likes bacon, and so on, and I don’t normally participate in that sort of stuff. I didn’t post much speculation, either, because there wasn’t enough information to speculate with, and I’d never played the game before, so I didn’t know what I should be speculating about. On the second day, when Wanderers said he was a Mason, I posted quite a bit, because we had some definite information to work with. After it became generally agreed that Wanderers was on the level, I dropped back into lurking until something else came up that I had some input on.

I agree. The constant refrain of "I’m going to vote this way and everyone else is just so random makes me think that she is trying very hard not to establish a discernible pattern–so that we don’t feel we can do anything with her voting.

In other words, I think she could be trying very hard not to give us data.

I’m trying to find a rational reason to vote for someone, aside from their username or jokes about bacon. It’s an attempt to be logical in situation that makes logic difficult. Lynching a random villager is kind of disturbing to me. I want to find reasons to vote. Of course, all the reasons are crappy at this point, so it ends up looking bad no matter who you vote for. Miller’s revenge vote for me does nothing to allay my suspicion of him, of course.

OK, so your policy of voting at random for dozens of people is less suspicious than mine? I would say not.

I’ve tried to be transparent in my reasoning. I can’t be any more open than I have. I guess this is just the way the game goes.

If you think I’m being suspicious, vote for me. Getting lynched in a game actually doesn’t hurt, so I’m not going to take it personally.

If I was going to cast a revenge vote, I’d vote for moonstarsun, who has also voted for me, and is the only person in the game with more votes than me. If I were voting out of pique or self-interest, she’d be the logical choice. Except right now, I think you’re more likely to be a werewolf than she is.

Seeing as it is so early in the game, and an eye-crossing amount of strategizing and rationalizations have already taken place, I can only imagine what it is going to be like for the players who survive till the final days.

Having the early days so dense with material to wade through later, it just firms up my growing opinion that deaths are the only viable source of information early in the game, as the townies are still largely guessing.

Trying to coherantly rationalize votes now is a very tricky thing. Guess wrong, and you’re not limited to the short-term effects of being wrong. Your rationalizations may be interpreted in the future to the detriment of yourself or the surviving townies later in the game.

Sorry about that, all. My internet connection went down. Announcements to come.

Final count;
moonstarssun - 5 Votes (Kat, jsgoddess, unfinished symphony, Captain Carrot, JSexton)

Miller - 4 Votes (Rubystreak, moonstarssun, Enginerd, Winston Smith)

Ogre - 2 Votes (ComeToTheDarkSideWeHaveCookies, One and Only Wanderers)

JSexton - 1 Vote (Ogre)

Richard Parker - 1 Vote (hocow)

Winston Smith - 1 Vote (MadTheSwine)

hocow - 1 Vote (dnooman)

Rubystreak - 1 Vote (Miller)

*Day Two started with many accusations but no certainty. One and Only Wanderers was suspected - but showing his secret tattoos and symbols he managed to convince he was a Mason (and cause half the village to faint).

Would it be Miller or moonstarssun? A final surge clinched it. moonstarssun is led outside, the silver bullets loaded into a silver gun by a silversmith (because it’s his gun and he won’t bloody share).*

Night falls.

You’ve killed moonstarssun, a Townsperson. Whoops. Seer, GA, Werewolves, get your emails in, please.

Sigh. Goodbye everyone.

Back to my homework.

Chances were that we were going to get a townsperson, but still. Drat.

D’oh!

Raising and sloshing a mug o’ mead, in a tear-filled and slurred farewell toast

To our dearestly departeded SunshineMoonlightStarTwinkle hic…may your 80 lb zuccini record n’er be broke, and may your hearth in heaven 'er be stoked.

Well, crap.
I’m sure that there is information that can be gleaned from this, but I just don’t have the energy to sift through it all right now.

I going to go to the Pub and stick real close to One And Only Wanderers, and hope the Guardian Angel’s mojo rubs off

Now I get to fear werewolves and vengeful spirits. Dooooomed.

Oops!

You killed moonstarsun! You bastards!

Well, that sucked. Happens a lot in this game though.

I think I’m gonna cover my body in cow manure. Werewolves don’t like poop do they?
