Werewolf - a game.

Yes, he did, but so did practically everybody else. Those three received a total of 19 votes between them on Day 2. **OAOW **came within a fingernail of being lynched, then later **Miller **and **moonstarssun **were neck and neck coming down to the deadline. With all paranoia everyone was feeling at that point, it’s hard to blame anyone for their votes that day.

There’s another something to point out in that quote, Suburban Plankton.

Richard Parker was assuming that Rubystreak slowing down the bandwagon is automatically going to be seen as a good thing. She could have been doing it to either (1) protect jsgoddess if she’s a werewolf or to (2) look good for trying to protect jsgoddess if she was lynched and revealed to be a townsperson.

I’ve edited that post twice, and I still don’t think it’s saying what I’m attempting for it to say. sighs

That’s a really idiotic plan, hoping to get accused and then have the mob focus on somebody else. Would you risk that, whether or not you were a werewolf?

I see the point you’re making, but I’m still bothered by the phrase “clearly baseless” in that situation. “Unfounded”, “unsubstantiated”, “groundless”: all of these wouldn’t have caused me to raise an eyebrow, but “clearly baseless” makes it seem like he’s trying very hard to make a point. And if it hadn’t turned out that his point was 100% false, it probably wouldn’t have alarmed me at all.
The more I think about it, I’m starting to question myself as to whether I’m more suspicious of jsgoddess, or of Richard Parker. But I’m letting my vote stand for now.

This is indeed what I meant.

ETA: And what’s this about “you can’t believe you’re going to defend me.” He’s only badgering me now because I defended you. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think it was that risky. You come out swinging, accusing everybody with absolutely not a single shred of evidence. This provokes a knee-jerk reaction in a number of people, who accuse you of being a werewolf. All it takes is a single voice of reason to make everyone stop and think for just a moment. They then have to admit that they had not a single shred of evidence either, and that their votes were simply retaliatory. By the time everyone starts to think, they have already mentally placed you in the “good” column, out of regret for accusing you unfairly.

Of course, I was pretty firmly convinced of JSexton’s guilt for a while there, too.

I wasn’t trying to raise eyebrows with my comments about Winston. It’s just the way he worded some posts that seem (to me, at least) that he is likely town. He seems to be holding back some information, which I gave him the benefit of the doubt to be good information. Appearantly I’m the only one who feels this way, as he is well on his way to certain death. But I will stick to my gut reaction on this one until I see more of what he has to say.

Also, jsgoddess was quick to start accusations, as has been said time and again. I don’t think a werewolf would want to draw that much attention to one’s self. As far as reverse psychology type strategy, it would have been to risky to try to so blatant, only hoping that focus would later shift away to someone else.

I would like to hear from OAOW, but I realize that outing other Masons and offering tips would lead them to get lynched pretty quickly.

Alas, I don’t know who I should be keeping my eye on now. I’ll come back to this in the morning…

Can you point out or quote the posts that made you think that for me? I’ve re-read the thread 6 times in the past 4 days, and it’d give me a starting place at least.

Well, if he’s got good information held back, now’s the time for him to think about letting some of it out.

Whatever her plan was, it seems to have worked. She was voted for by 7 people on day one, then the suspicion shifted to Mennochio. Since then, she went 2 whole days without a single vote. I’m not sure what reasoning or circumstances convinced everyone she’s town, but it has been working.

I doubt she wanted to be accused, it just happened that way.

Looking for any pattern or standout information in my chart, I’m not finding much.

Winston Smith is the only player to have been voted for on all four days (Rubystreak, Ogre, Miller, Enginerd, Jsgoddess, Kat, JSexton and OAOW were all voted for on two separate days).

OAOW voted for Jsgoddess on days one and four (the only days she has been voted for). SO, if he’s a mason, she’s not. He has voted for seven people in total, the only re-vote being for Jsgoddess, I’m wondering if he knows something we don’t. Maybe, maybe not.

Winston Smith has received a total of five votes from only two people. Jsgoddess voted for him on days one and three, and Mad The Swine voted for him on days two, three, and four. Winston Smith has voted for both of them once. Mad The Swine really wants us to kill Winston Smithfor some reason.

That’s all I have at the moment. If anyone wants any specific info, lemme know.

I’m not psychic, just unemployed. If I didn’t have so much time on my hands I probably wouldn’t be doing this well. Furthermore, I had a good interview today, so I might not be posting all the damn time anymore.

If anyone is wondering…

Known werewolf votes:
Menocchio: jsgoddess
Rubystreak: smiling bandit (now unfinished symphony), Miller

Not enough of a pattern yet to help much.

Also:
Put “on notice” by Rubystreak:
Day 1:
Kythereia*, Rysto, Richard Parker, and MadtheSwine, you’re on notice.”
*now dnooman
Day 2:
Miller
Richard Parker
moonstarsun

Welly, welly, well. Looks like there’s a whole lotta Lynch Winston going around. I guess playing my “I’m not a werewolf” trump card didn’t convince you, eh?

Or maybe it did…

I vote for MadTheSwine, because I think he knows I’m just an innocent townie and he’s trying to score another one for the wolves (being himself a wolf). See? FOS at jsgoddess. too. I had your number on Day 1, and I think you’ve been trying to do away with me ever since. I’ve said this before - I think you two are in cahoots. And I think you’re going to outsmart yourselves by forcing your hand here. That being said, your “evidence” against me doesn’t hold up to analysis. You’ve built a house of cards, and if my fellow townies take the time to investigate your allegations, they’ll so those allegations are as hollow as… well… something hollow.

Vote count;

Winston Smith - 6 Votes (Enginerd, Richard Parker, dnooman, MadTheSwine, Kat, ComeToTheDarkSideWeHaveCookies)

jsgoddess - 2 Votes (One And Only Wanderers, Suburban Plankton)

MadTheSwine - 1 Vote (Winston Smith)

whats the number of votes to lynch today?

Okay, er, I voted for Winston twice and still suspect him. But I don’t know if I suspect him enough to pull the lynching trigger (to mix a metaphor).

Of course, I didn’t suspect Rubystreak enough to pull the trigger there, either, and look how that turned out.

Voters for Winston, are you deeply suspicious, or is he just the most suspicious of a mildly suspicious lot?

The fourth, fifth and sixth votes for me were cast yesterday in the PM at 6:31 (MadTheSwine), 8:01 (Kat), and 8:13 (ComeToTheDarkSideWeHaveCookies) respectively. I reckon I’ve got till 6:31 Eastern tonight, but that’s late at night for our humble game moderator, so it looks like tomorrow morning I’m gonna wake up dead. Unless somebody comes to my rescue. Anyone? Hello?

Help

I’m going to unvote MadTheSwine and

vote for jsgoddess
And this isn’t just a defensive vote because somebody’s gotta swing - I’m even more suspicious of js than Mad. Like I said a few posts ago, I’ve had jsgoddess’ number since day one and I think she’s been subtly trying to generate suspicion of me ever since. Yeah, Mad, I’ve still got my eye on you, but jsgoddess is a wolf. I’m certain of it. You call my actions suspect? I’d say your posting strategy is pretty sly, jsgoddess - you continually post your suspicions of me, yet you’re not voting for me? The only reason I can think of is that you know I’m a townie, you want me dead, but you don’t want to dirty your hands doing it. You’re looking for plausible deniability once the townies string me up and realize I’m a good guy.

You’ll say "Well, yeah, I was suspicious, but I didn’t vote for him. Nothing to see here folks. Move along. And yet. All the while, you’ve been steering suspicion my way. If I’m looking for a clever strategy in this game (and I am), I think I’ve found one.

Folks, don’t be fooled by jsgoddess’ nefarious hatchings here. Look back at her posts, and pay careful attention to what I’ve said here regarding the content of her comments and the casting of her votes, and how those things correspond but don’t intersect - cause she didn’t actually vote for me last time. Dirty, dirty, dirty.

Fair enough. I’ll vote for Winston Smith. It’s not a confident vote, but I’m accountable for it.

This is misleading, though. These votes are mostly coming from two sources - jsgoddess and MadTheSwine. The fact remains that I outed jsgoddess early on, and I think she’s got it in for me. And I think Mad is her flea-bitten flunky.
