I’m not a werewolf! I’m Mogwli, or Remulos and Remus’ lost triplet! Or I wrote that when I first came here several years ago and am now really regretting never revising my profile. :smack:
And besides. Werewolves are raised by people, and then sell their sould for a wolfskin cloak that allows them to change shape. Or so it says in my Malleus Maleficarum (never go to a hysterical mob without it!).
I don’t want to get in anyone’s way while you’re all leading **jsgoddess **over to yonder tree, but I’m getting increasingly suspicious of our three as-yet silent townsfolk. Methinks some folk are trying to lay low and hope they’ll escape unnoticed.
And since it is ***extremely ***out of character for her, I vote to lynch Kythereia.

So MadTheSwine has not posted since signing up, and Richard Parker, Rysto and Kytheira only once since then. Unnacceptable.
Revenant, can you please prod those player? Lurking is not a strategy.
I’m not familiar with online conventions, but in RL games I’ve known people who were fairly quiet the first couple of rounds but started maneuvering a lot later. Given the slower overall pace here that might not be feasible. But you know, instead of GM intervention we could just string up the silent ones. Even if they aren’t guilty of being werewolves, they’re guilty of not contributing to our pleasant little community of traditional values.
I’m happy with my jsgoddess vote at the moment. something doesn’t sit right. I’ll have another read through when I get the time and will post a more reasoned reason later.
Silence isn’t an option, guys. Staying quiet is just too suspicious. If you don’t post by the end of the Day, you’ll be sharing a stage with the voted character. Don’t think you can get away with one post and a vote on Friday morning, either. People are antsy on the first day… this could be the day with the highest body count.

No, I suggested that they be prodded by the mod to play. Which he did. Barring that, we do need to be prepared to lynch lurkers. Why? Because apart from the Seer, our only method to catch scum is to judge their words and actions. If someone does not post, we have nothing on them.
Ergo, the perfect scum strategy is to post as little as possible. However, lurking can also be explained by lazy townies, so merely lynching all lurkers is poor play. Prodding for replacement should weed out the lazy, leaving only the intentionally lurking, which, with any luck, are scum.
By the way, the phrase “scum tell” is overused. Please be prepared to describe why a given action is more scummy, as opposed to simply saying “Oh, you used lots of punctuation, scum tell, vote JSexton.”
No, it isn’t. In fact, that’s an incredibly scummy mindset, for the reasons I outlined above. If you were on our side here, you’d realize that going on the offensive and engaging people is the townie thing to do. Talk. Debate. Gauge the other’s intentions. That’s the only way to find scum.
I assume it’s seen as scummy, because there are more pro-town than anti-town players, so a random lynch is morel likely to benefit the opposition. How much would it suck if the guy who has the Doc role just happens to not post much? as long as he reads and protects someone at night, then he is still (potentially) useful.
