Werewolf (Mafia)--The Split [Signups--In progress]

Yes!!!

My first game and I’ve won!

Ped, sign me up for the next one!

I guess we can read and post to the Dead Thread now, right?

Everyone who is dead should come back in here!

Awesome! Perfect ending (almost, being a rancher I suppose I should’ve hoped for a rancher win, but I’m a good-hearted guy, so again I say “Awesome!”)

Maybe I missed something, but was the decoding of the Testerizer correct? Or did we just plain get lucky?

Woot! I’m glad to see I played the role cop “right” then by keeping my shit quiet–frankly, I wasn’t actually investigating most of the game, because I figured it was something like that.

Yeah, you guys got it right. I actually considered using Chartreuse/Vermilion as a shout out, but couldn’t, because it was after MHaye posited the correct answer and I was worried you all would think of it as a sign.

What would that be a sign of?

Woo-hoo! Nice game pedescribe, and nice ending as well. Mmm, wolfburgers…

Hooray for the town! I believe I’m 2 for 2 now, and never yet lived to see Day 4.

Woo hoo! Go town! I’m 2 for 2 now as well.

I can’t remember most of the games I’ve been in. I know I lost my first where I was part of the undead. That one was hard, though.

Whoohoo! A win at last.

Excellent!

Pedescribe, you certainly achieved your aim of a :smack: moment. It took me a few minutes to convince myself I wasn’t oversimpifying.

Thanks for the game.

(For the curious, I was a Farmer. Not that that matters now.)

So it worked out like this:

Mahaloth: Rancher Townie
MHaye: Farmer Townie

What were AllWalker and Oredigger?

Wolf question–what was your thinking when you were voting on whom to kill?

Was there a message board elsewhere that the wolves communicated on? I’d love to see the whole conversation,

I was Rancher. So you and me, we’re the only ones left…

Take that, everyone else!

Farmer, I was worried after I realized I deleted that PM early on in the game if we’d pushed the mass claim I probably would have just made something up.

I think one could make the argument that unkillable pro-Town mechanisms should be avoided. Once the testerizer was figured out, the Town had won. There was nothing the wolves could do to stop it, which is probably not very fun.

pedescribe–this was a lot of fun. Thanks for modding! Do you think you’ll be running another Werewolf/Mafia game any time soon?

This was why I worried about a Miller or Godfather, particularly the latter; I came to the conclusion that Pede had undervalued the impact of the fact that the Testerizer couldn’t be removed from the game on the balance.

Pede achieved his design goals; both taking some time to figure out and the “D’oh!” moment when it hit me. ButI think that, on the whole, it made the game too hard for scum to win without some subterfuge.

I’m still wondering why I was eaten first.
