I recently saw West Side Story at a dinner theatre. I am sure it was true to the original, but did the Jets have a sidekick, tomboy girl always hanging around and trying to join the Jets? If so, what was the name of this character? (I don’t remember her, but it could be.)

I remembered her, but not her name, apparently it’s Anybodys.

Thanks! I bet we heard her name, but didn’t recognize it as a character’s name! Maybe it went by too fast, or we thought we heard wrong…or in context, the word “anybody’s” seemed to fit!
…You realize you almost sparks a “Who’s On First” scenario here, right? 
In Living Color did a West Side Story spoof, making the two gangs Jewish and Black, to reflect some then-current tensions between those two groups in NYC. The “Anybody’s” character was trying to join the Jewish gang, who sang to her,
“Goy, goy, silly goy …”
