Bravo channel recently started rerunning all of the old West Wing episodes, 4x a week, Monday thru Thursdays at 11pm, also at 7pm and the next day at noon. It’s also shown on Sundays from noon-4pm, IIRC.
For me this has been a great opportunity to catch up on all of the background that happened before I started watching. I was really taken with last night episode, where Bartlet reads Zoe the riot act when a few frat guys hassle her in Georgetown bar. This is a foreshadowing of the end of season cliffhanger episode from last year. It also goes a long way to building the Charlie - Zoe dynamic that I never understood. And Zoe looks really geeky back then. (Leo’s daughter is hot, though)
Yes, indeed! I forget why we elected to watch whatever has been opposite West Wing on regular broadcast times. In any case, this makes it much easier to keep up with the flow.
We did the same sort of thing before when either A&E or Bravo (maybe even Lifetime, I forget) did Moonlighting, L.A. Law, and Law & Order.
The West Wing cast and writing staff are exceptional. Easy to see how they competed as well as they did against The Sopranos in the Emmy runs. This will be brand new turf for me.
Deeply pissed that both Bravo and TVGuide seem oblivious to the fact that there is a West Coast and the fact that we have a different time zone. So I missed the first two eps, twice.
