Anyone know what happend to TWW last night? They were supposed to be showing a new episode but instead they ran a Law and Order rerun. I hope this doesn’t have anything to do with Martin Sheen and his speaking out against a war in Iraq. I heard that NBC was ticked at him.
TWW was scheduled to be a rerun last night. No one knows why NBC decided to pull the West Wing rerun and replace it with a Law & Order rerun, although West Wing episodes are serialized and therefore traditionally do poorly in reruns, while Law & Order is apparently infinitely rewatchable.
There are four pages of discussion on this topic at Television without Pity, including speculation about NBC’s possible political motivations, but no conclusion has been reached.
Hmm. I wondered about this myself.
I literally had to ask out loud “today’s Wednesday, isn’t it?” I thought maybe I was off a day, as has been known to happen with great frequency.
What was really annoying was that it was the second half of a two part episode. For what it’s worth, CTV also pre-empted the episode.
