What a terrible nightmare!

Last night I had the worst nightmare! First, my parents shipped me off to Teen Mania for another mission trip, only to Mexico (note: I LOVE mission trips and all, but I’d never go on one ever again with Teen Mania).

Then when I was wandering about the country trying to find my way home, I got word that OPAL CAT had died! knock on wood I don’t know who told me, but it was someone who had nothing to do with the message boards. All I knew was that I HAD to get online and post the announcement to the boards because I knew that no one would know otherwise (though I know this wouldn’t be true in real life; I’m sure someone would find out). However, since I was wandering around with no computer in sight, I couldn’t contact anyone and it was steadily driving me insane, as if I wasn’t devastated about OpalCat enough.

End of rant. I just hope that this nightmare didn’t come true and that Opal is alive and well!!!

I have heard Teen Mania is a cult. Glad you didn’t go! Even if it was only a dream.

Remember, I am here to comfort you!

I’ll try to stay alive…

yikes… what foreboding when I’m planning to drive to Florida on Tuesday…

Awww…thanks Dougy. Yes, Teen Mania does seem kind of cultish. Their Acquire the Fires (conventions held all over the country) are fun, have great bands and speakers, and make you think, but the trip I took with them to Costa Rica was very misleading, not to mention that the beds at their headquarters had no mattresses. They’re what I’d call a “hit and run ministry” which I don’t like at all. As a very strong Christian, I was frightened that they had the power to turn me against Christianity for a very short time.

Be careful, Opal!

About a month ago – true story – I dreamed I visited the site of the old Marconi wireless station located at South Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Except in the dream, the state became “New Jersey”, and the city was “Welfy”.

Do or do not. There is no try. Yoda wisdom for all occasions

*said to someone who’s had too much to drink (see above):

“mmmm…I sense much beer in you.”

Wow, how neat? Did I live there?

If you were in the dream I don’t remember, I just recall the town being named “Welfy”. But I’m sure the inspiration for “South Wellfleet” turning into “Welfy” in the dream was from seeing your name on this board.

If you want, I’ll can try to cast you as an extra the next time I have one of those “in school for an important test and I don’t know anything about the subject” dreams.
