Well, it is now May 24th, 1:24 am here. It’s my birthday, and I’m at work. I’ve been here since 11pm yesterday, and have school tomorrow so I was in a bad mood about being up all night and then all day before visiting friends.
Apparently, my wife read into that a little when she called me around 11:30. Ran over to the store when she bought off work, picked me up 2 cherry pepsi’s and a small container of sushi - plus a little package of the spicy mayonnaise stuff that gets put on top.
I just sat down to eat my nice little lunch. She is such a good wife, being all caring and such. My day turned from “meh” to “woohoo” pretty fast…
Anyone else having a wonderful day already? Or a wonderful night from yesterday still?
(Yes, I realize this is rather mundane and also pointless, but there is only so much one can do at work on 3rd shift without any business - we filled at 11:30 and I have done nothing but watch television and play on here since)
Happy Birthday!
I’m getting ready to go to bed, that is if I can sleep.
I worked night shift for about 40 years, so I still have trouble sleeping at night.
Wishing you a good day, a good year and a great life! Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday brendon_small !
I’m having a wonderful day, although it’s now 1.30 pm-ish here, so it’s half way through. I took my 6 month old daughter swimming this morning, which she loves, and right now she’s an hour into her nap (which I love). When she wakes up I’m going to take her shopping for a birthday present for her dad, and some books for her. Plus I still have 5 days left of my maternity leave, so nothing (do you hear me? NOTHING) is going to spoil the time I have left!
Oh, and summer’s here, it seems.
Happy birthday!
I’m having an ok-ish day, had a training session all morning for six people which was run by a colleague and we all know her so it was good fun. Then I went out for lunch with a friend - we’ve had beer. The afternoon looks much brighter now.
Happy birthday!
I just work up after having had a fine undisturbed sleep. The doc prescribed me Ambien for my growing insomnia problem, and it works well. So I feel rested and ready for the day for the first time in a long time. It shoots your coordination to hell in the morning, though, so I’ll attempt nothing other than coffee for awhile. Then I’ll play hooky from work and maybe ride a bike or go for a hike on a trail. Later we’ll hit the outlet mall and see about getting a couple of work shirts for Mr. brown for his new job. Yay!
