What about LEGO?

I saw a program on A&E last night about the top ten toys of all time. I’m not sure what the results were based on, but LEGO wasn’t one of them. I was really surprised by that.

Also on the list was Crayola crayons. Am I the only one who doesn’t consider them toys? I thought they were merely writing utensils…

Saucy Potato Hmm? Come on, tell us the wierd sex story that resulted in that name.

LEGO is NOT A TOY. It’s a deity.

What was the criteria for inclusion?

And yes, I write most of my official memos in “Burnt Sienna”…

Sorry the disappoint you, Ophanim, but I don’t have a story for you. I like potatoes is all.

Unfortunately, I missed the beginning of the program, so I don’t know the exact criteria, but it seemed to be mostly based on sales and longevity. Barbie and Play-Doh were right up there, and Yo-Yo’s were at the top.

The Legos were underneath those top 10 toys, just like how they’re found under everything in the house.

Louie: young guy, possibly a bit green, but smart as paint. - Greg Charles

Best toy ever: Hairy Canary or Verti-bird Dareplane.

Legos don’t give you the danger of removing digits accidentally.

This is completely pointless and almost off topic but…

I was watching Popular Mechanics for Kids and they went to the design studio where all those giant lego models are built, it was really neat seeing how the did these models.

I love crayola stampers, especially my teal blue snowflake one. There is nothing like a new box of crayons…I want to colour now…

Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.

Touch me, I went to Legoland in northern San Diego, California.

Talk about Mecca!

A truly fab place. I have pictures that would just wow ya.

Crayons? Crayons aren’t toys! How stupid! So I guess pencils, pens, chalk, paint, charcoal, etc… are toys? Sheesh.

Angkins-I love the stampers too! My favourite is the blue paw print.

I agree about new crayons. They’re such a pleasing shape, but then they get all mangled once you have to start peeling the paper… ech.
Oh, and the Crayola factor looks like fun, although I’ve never been…

Living in Pennsylvania, where Crayolas are made, that’s one trip I haven’t made yet (although I have been to Hershey).

Goodness, I love my home state. Such wonderful things we have!

They are also one of the main food groups. (I believe that Play-Doh is in that group as well.)

Regarding crayons:

Umm, you weren’t in chat the other night were you? We were discussing the taste of Play-Doh, Crayons, Paste and others. Let me see if I can remember what Pricciar said about Play-Doh:
“Yumm, Play-Doh, oh so salty!”
I have to agree…

Well, you can rub my head too, for I also have visited the Legoland in Carlsbad, CA.

The lego versions of different areas of the world are amazing. One of my favourites was New York City.

Have you ever stepped on one in the middle of the night, while barefoot?

Yeee Owww!

Aww, man, someone beat me to it. :frowning:

Oh well, I got the sig. . .

“Excuse me, are you reading Torah and eating crayons?”

Sure, but do like eating potatos… ** WHILE YOU HAVE SEX??? ** Or maybe… do you like HAVING SEX WITH POTATOES???

God, I am desperate for a good weird sex story.

You may all bow down and kiss my ring, for I have visited the ORIGINAL Legoland in Denmark.

Their version of the Wild American West is a hoot. They have a scale model of Mount Rushmore (which was sculpted by a Danish-American).

[rant]Lego’s are fun, but a bitch to step on in the middle of the night walking in to check on your kids after they haven’t put their toys away.[/rant]

And crayons are NOT toys.

I will not instigate revolution.
