But hear me out. I heard on a talk show the other day that a WWI general was having trouble with Islam terrorist killing off some of his troops so this is what he did. Supposably if you ever get hogs blood on you in the Islam religion, you can still go to Heaven but you can’t see Allah. And this really bothers them. So he rounded up a 100 terrorist, made them dig their own graves then poured hog’s blood all over them before he executed them. Then he let 10 go to tell the rest of their buddies what would happen to them if they did any more terrorism attacks.
The terrorists attacks stopped.
So I wonder would this be a good preventative measure to let terrorist know this will happen to them? Hey, I know it sounds goofy and kinda of warped but look who we are dealing with? And you are suppose to learn from history and it worked for this general maybe it would work for us.
I am trying to remember. It is a national show and I think it comes on in my market now. I’ll try to sneak out in a little bit and find out. Does it not sound true or something? I really did hear it.
While I agree with Guin that this story sounds a bit implausible (particularly with a claim for 100 Islamic terrorists in WWI), I am not at all sure why we want to insult every single Islamic supporter we might POSSIBLY have by being so disrespectful of their beliefs.
Doing something that violates the beliefs of a different religion or culture does not win you friends among that culture.
Do you think that the IRA would have stopped their actions in Northern Ireland if the Brits had forced each captured Prov to spit or urinate on a Eucharistic Host? Or, perhaps, would it occur to you that that would have earned Britain the condemnation of the Republic of Ireland–and Italy, Spain, France, Bavaria, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, and a whole number of non-Catholic nations that found the idea repulsive?

Also are you saying it would upset every Muslim or just the radical ones if we did this? Because I thought the non violent ones don’t like these radical ones either? Am I wrong on this?

I mean why would you want to pour hogs blood on an innocent person? I am talking about tried and convicted terrorist. You got to remember these people are NOT scarred to die. They live and die violently so they can the virgin chicks and so they see Allah. So maybe if we take away the thought of them seeing Allah they will think twice before they kill innocent lives again.
Before start flaming really think about this maybe this could work. I mean if it is indeed NOT a urban legend then it HAS worked in the past.
Also I believe the talk show host was Neil Boortz. I am not sure if he said it or a caller. But it sounded very factual.

Nice try but you got to remember we are talking about radical Muslims them not us. They kill Christians all the time over there do you really think it would bother me to pour hogs blood on people that so violently could care less about human lives? Heck they don’t even value their own life. Don’t ya’ll understand this goes a lot deeper than them just hating the US. I mean this is a Holy War.
I seem to recall hearing a variation of this story a long time ago. Islamic fundmentialists had kidnapped several people and were threatening to execute them. A few of the terrorists were in custody. One of them was set free to deliver a message that if the hostages were not returned within an hour, his companions would be sewn up inside hog skins and buried alive. Apparently, you don’t get to see Allah if you smell like a Sausage McMuffin™.
I believe that the operative word in the Koran’s admonition vs. eating forbidden foods is “intentionally.”
IIRC from my reading of the Koran (about 2+ years ago now), if a Muslim is tricked into eating forbidden foods by his captors, or forced to eat it, the punishment does not apply.
So if you’re starving to death and happen to come across a dead pig and eat it, most likely Allah will understand and forgive you. Likewise, I think, if some infidel chucks pig blood at you.
So, Bill, we’d piss them off, but we wouldn’t put them in fear of their souls, I think.
