What action movie was this?

Female lead-she gets betrayed by her bad-guy lover who then shoots her, causing amnesia, so she tracks him down as a federal agent of some kind? I want to say 80’s? It wasn’t a big-name actress or someone like Cynthia Rothrock who had a few action movies to their name.

The Long Kiss Goodnight?

No, it was much lower priced than that. It had a name like “Perfect Assassin” or “Revenge Angel” or something like that. I want to say an 80’s film?

I did finally discover what it was by looking at the Netflix DVD thing since I had rented it in the past. Didn’t know it could be done. “Excessive Force: Force on Force” with Stacie Randall. Sorry if I wasted anyone’s time.

That’s an awesome title (although it’s actually Excessive Force II: Force on Force, according to Wikipedia).

Thank you! And it has nothing to do with the first one from what I understand.

Can we turn this into a game? The Austrian protagonist says to the bad guy, “Remember when I said I would kill you last? I lied.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger to a bad guy in Commando, just before he drops him off a cliff.

“I let him go.”

This is the most 80’s movie title that ever movied.

I also want to point out that one of its credited actors is a gentleman named “Mandingo Warrior.” This is his only credit as an actor, but he does have a few credits as electrical crew.

I came here to mention Mandingo Warrior.

Also, the original “Excessive Force” starred Thomas Ian Griffith, of TV’s “Fame”.

Eh, seems a little forced to me.

The Wikipedia article is just magnificent:

It made me think of the French film Les ripoux (Crooked Cops) which had a sequel Ripoux contre ripoux (Crooked Cops Vs. Crooked Cops).

And also Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever.

He’s famous mostly for playing Terry Silver in Cobra Kai and, prior to that, Karate Kid III. Amazingly, the character he portrays in Excessive Force is apparently also named Terry.

Was that the first Dagger movie or Dagger II: Double-Edged?

Exactement! As the French would say. :sunglasses:

Swarzenegger in Commando. Lately I’ve been seeing all these deepfake TikTok’s of him in other films, so I guess he’s on my mind. The one from Titanic is hilarious!

Awsome title or not? Not '80s but 2016.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping

“Conner Friel is a musical prodigy at an early age, and he forms a pop rap group dubbed “The Style Boyz” with his childhood friends Lawrence Dunn and Owen Bouchard.”

Sadly, a sequel was cancelled!

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is, I feel the need to add, a deliberate boyband parody film starring Andy Samberg.

Ok, this may be a really stupid question, or maybe I just haven’t had enough coffee yet on a Monday morning, but how can it be considered a sequel if it is completely unrelated to the original? Just because they give it the same name and stick a “II” on the end it’s suddenly a “sequel”?
