So I have to sort out this receipt of mens suits and accessories trying to figure the cost of each piece and I can’t for the life of me figure out what a puff is with regards to mens clothing. The hand written out note of what is on the receipt is
suits
slacks
shirts
ties
puffs
So by my powerful methods of deductions I know what it isn’t, but what else is there in a suit?

Looks like a form of ascot tie, looks more common in womens fashions these days than mens but it was not always so IIRC.

Some sort of puffy-shirt attachment? Turns any shirt into a laughingstock. Great icebreaker at parties.
Maybe it is the pre-folded pocketchief? Did you buy anything like that, to match your ties?
This kind of thing is what I mean.
I think we have a winner. A puff is a style of hankerchief fold for the jacket pocket:
