You think? Jesus fucking Christ on a stick, could you be any more disingenuous? Or, you know, fucking stupid?
Oh, just go back to your kind at stormfront. They won’t give you a hard time and they’ll appreciate your tiny little opinions.

I don’t require an apology. But I’ll tell you why I’m offended, and it has nothing to do with any specific person or incident listed in that thread
It’s the ideas *behind *your OP:
a) that the progeny of celebrities can and should be held to whatever standards of talent, beauty or behavior their parents are perceived to have achieved, b) that this comparative analysis should matter to you or anyone else, c) that almost entirely incidental exposure to these children of celebs qualifies you or us to judge their talents, appearance and behavior by any standards, and that d) you or we are appropriate arbiters for any of this due purely to our status as consumers of entertainment or reporting that features the parents of these people.
I definitely hear what you’re saying. In fact, I will go even further: I agree with you! But this is a message-board, and especially in a sub-forum such as The BBQ Pit and/or Cafe Society, there are no real life stakes involved. We’re just talking sh_t here.
hasn’t attention-whore become a nonsexual nongendered term?
unless the term was used not as an attention-whore but a whore who seeks attention.
just addressing the term not the speaker or intent.
How about Justin Bieber? I don’t think he can sing. I often find him annoying. He is pretty though…
Oh, so you are actually a homo? ![]()
No, and that’s something wrong with the internet culture as it exists; “talking shit” shouldn’t be free. If you talk too much shit IRL, there are social consequences. Even if you restrict it to message boards (which I don’t believe for a minute you do) there are real life stakes, even if they’re only in how people see themselves and others. That perception guides behavior, and it’s why traditional forms of social opprobrium and reinforcement need representation on-line.
So go ahead and be a shit-talkin’ asshole, but expect some consequences, mild as the may be in the form of pittings. But sooner or later if we’re doing things right on this board you’ll get hit with the ban-stick. And no one will miss your shit.
Yeah that’s a matter of time.
kstarnes, I’m not buying the disingenuous faux sincerity act. You’re a troll, top to bottom, and you know it very well.
And, honestly, kudos. You’re good.
Not really. I can’t imagine a scenario where I’m spouting bigotry online yet hiding it from people IR - or vice versa. I think you are under the impression that most people hide behind online personas and say one thing online, and another IRL. Perhaps I am naive, but I think that what someone anonymously posts online is what they really believe. I think you are full of shit and I think you are a misogynstic bigot.
I’ll agree on this. Attention whore has nothing to do with gender or sexual activity.
Justin Bieber has a celebrity parent? :dubious:
You never heard of Bieber’s Parents and The Offspring?

I readily acknowledge that my statement was not only cruel, but also indicative of an intellectually and psychologically inferior mentality. However, the pronomial reference was just a misstatement. I realized the mistake several hours after I made it. Every time I have ever seen Bono on TV, it was prior to the gender reassignment. I said “her” for the same reason that it took me fifteen years to stop saying “Soviet Union.” So don’t make assumptions about people’s motivations.
“I say stupid, cruel, and asinine things…but I’m not transphobic, really!”
.
+1 'cause there’s really nothing else to say.
I saw your post and thought to myself: “What the heck is monstro doing in this thread?”
