I understand that the clinical term for couples who use coitus interruptus as their primary means of birth control is “parents”.
There is the RCC approved method of “Natural Rhythm” which looks good on paper.
Chill dude. From link #2:
That’s good enough for me.
BTW, a friendly warning. The tone you just took is REALLY not appreciated in GQ. The mods get real sore about that.
I have to say that in my years of experience in the clinical and research fields, I’ve never seen a “real scientist” who’s been this completely dismissive of a physician’s knowledge, but I suppose there’s a first time for everything. (By the way, you might have missed the part of the FAQ that forbids insults outside of the BBQ Pit.)
At any rate, I suppose the folks at the Mayo Clinic are then also mistaken about the male reproductive system? Pregnancy possible from pre-ejaculation?
How about the Department of Health and Human Services, which runs the website where the same answer was given: How effective is withdrawal as a birth control method?
Homer - my first was conceived via the withdrawl method. It’s a crap shoot. Feel free to use it all you like, but don’t recomend it to people. I know way to many parents who tried it.
-
It is “semen”. Not “semem”.
-
Of ocurse spermatozoa do not become part of semen until just before ejaculation. That’s because semen is only produced just before ejaculation. Pre-ejaculate on the other hand can be produced many minutes or, according to Qadgop, days before ejaculation. Pre-ejaculate can contain spermatozoa. You seem to be having litlte difficulty understanding the difference between ejcaulate and pre-ejacualte, which is odd for someone with your ‘scientific training’.
-
Calling people stupid is hardly going to show us that you are correct. So far the balance of opinion, not to mention the evidence, seems to be against you
4)Insults are not permited in GQ. The Mods have been notified.
Have a nice day.
homercles, flinging insults in GQ is a serious offense. Do not do this again or you will lose your posting privileges.
You have been warned.

homercles, may I ask what your Ph.D thesis is about? Is it available online?
What on earth are you talking about? This is GQ. We deal with facts. Your assertions about pre-ejaculate have been refuted. Deal with it.
I highly doubt this person is a PhD in any field. I, too, would like to see his original thesis. But I don’t see that happening. Why do I get the impression he is waaaaay under 18?
Ha! Well, youre close.
I have to apologize to those who received flames. It seems that i forgot to logout of windows before going out the other night. My kid brother (19), who is staying with me for a few weeks, took this opportunity to mess with me–the little turd (his first post was to Qadgop the Mercotan). Rest assured my fellow forumers that my revenge will be exacting and far more embarrassing for him than this was for me.
BTW, while withdrawl (yes the first few posts were actually me) has worked well for me for quite some time, i do apologize for suggesting it to others. However, i still dont believe that my initial claim has been refuted. Unless you consider anecdotal evidence and biased statistics sufficient. But, they were sufficient for me to second guess…if that helps.
Also, just want to clarify that i actually have a phd in neuroscience from berekely, while my brother, whos 19, obviously does not.
Anyone have suggestions for my revenge?
