My friend has a 16 year old daughter and sent me these pics of things he found in his daughter’s room. He asked me because I represent a lot of drug dealers and thought I might have some ideas.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but those gummies look like the new CBD gummies which supposedly have medicinal purposes. That fake cig looks like a “one hitter” where you can pack weed or other substances in it. The baggie looks like weed.
My question: Does CBD comes in that form or is it weed?
ETA: What is the legal status of CBD? Can a 16 year old buy it? Is it “harmless”?
I can’t testify about the first 3 images. The 4th looks like “shatter”, high-percentage THC for smoking. The 5th looks like smoke-able weed but it’s hard to tell. Pinch and sniff to be sure. CBD isn’t generally smoked; I’ve seen it in edibles, lotions, and pet preparations. Yes, at the feed-n-grain store.
As for legality: here in California, 21 is the minimum age for CBD products. You’re in West Virginia? Legal age there is 18. I didn’t check everywhere but I doubt 16 is a legal age for any cannabis product anywhere in the US.
Well, yes, only because I am not familiar with CBD and how it is consumed. My clients don’t use semi-responsible products. I mean, as I said, the gummies look like CBD and the fake cig looks like a hitter and the baggie looks like weed.
I was simply wondering if CBD products came in smokeable form before I misled him. I didn’t think that 16 would be the age, but again, the limited information that I have is that it is simply a supplement with no intoxicating effects.
Another question: Where do you buy CBD stuff? A special store or do they sell it at 7-11?
It’s all cannabis. The gummies are likely 5 or 10 mg THC each. Eat one and you’ll see.
There are a few strains available at dispensaries that have more CBD than THC. I stay away from those strains. Also, her weed looks kinda low quality. She needs a better plug.
"Teens and young adults are using CBD as a homeopathic remedy for pain relief, depression and anxiety symptoms, acne, insomnia and boosting productivity. "
If I found that a teenage child was using such a product, I’d be more concerned about their believing that homeopathy has value, than about ingesting minute quantities of CBD.
As for “smoking”, at least one local vape shop sells CBD products. Given the recent news about serious lung injuries and deaths due to vaping, there’s reason for concern about non/poorly regulated CBD products and lung damage, acute or chronic.
