Second one is Mike and the Mechanics, “In the living years”.
The second one is, not surprisingly, “The Living Years,” by Mike + the Mechanics (the project by Mike Rutherford of Genesis and Paul Carrack of Squeeze.) Don’t know about the first one.

Speed is what matters 
The first one might be Dominique Eade, but that’s mostly a guess based on a short google search session.
Actually, I believe the song is called
“If I Could” by a group called 1927.
And, hey, if a picture paints a thousand
