Well, this summer is the honeymoon for yours truly. We will be going to the UK Virgin Islands (Tortola) for a week in August. Everyone I know that has been there, and a few guidebooks, tell me that it won’t be markedly hotter in August than it is in winter. They had better be right!
Work. Sounds really boring, but to me it will be exciting. I got a new job.

I’ll be spending almost the entire summer traveling the U.S. with the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps of Toledo, Ohio. (I play euph, if anyone cares.) It’ll be cool, because we get to do some shows out in California, and I’ve never been there before. And there’s a decent chance my corps will be on PBS. (PBS will do a live broadcast of the top 5 drum corps at finals.)

I’m lucky enough to have seven weeks off this summer so I’ve planned a couple of things so far. Ultress is coming to visit for a week in July and if I survive that I plan to take my boyo camping to some of the old haunts I used to go to as a kid. I think its about time he learned how to fish.
Definitely a trip to the mountains is in order as well.
