Just wondering what everyone has planned or if you are going to bother schlepping across the country to go to Wally World (not THAT Wally, but then again, that’s not a bad idea; now that would be an amusement park).

We’re going to take the week off work when the Olympics are on, sit out on the porch with the TV, drink beer, and bet on who’s going to win the swimming events. (we can’t afford to actually go anywhere right now!)
We’re at that age when everybody’s getting married. Cape Cod in May. Quebec City in June. Ithaca, NY in July. Might be somebody in August, but I can’t remember.
Glad you asked. I’m going to Europe as soon as school’s out and staying there until July, or until I’ve spent my entire life savings, whichever comes first.
We taking our summer vacation early this year before it gets hot.
The first part of May we will be taking a week long road trip to Bryce Canyon, Zions National Park, and the south rim of the Grand Canyon. http://www.onlinepages.net/canyonrides/ The landscape is like no other place on earth. Very bizarre and beautiful.
After the Grand Canyon, we will drive over to Vegas for a few days and then back home.
We have taken this trip a few times and never get sick of it.
I’m also thinking of taking the kids to see my dad in Germany, but we’ll see. Maybe next year.
I also buy us all summer passes to Lagoon Amusement Park each year so we practically live there. http://lagoonpark.com/ I like the rides, but most Sundays I can be found trying to drown myself at the waterslides.
I’m probably gonna stick close to home with a summer job. Go to the Stampede a couple of times when its here in July. Maybe visit my Dad and Grandparents in Edmonton, might be moving and going to summer camp at the end of August.
Never run from anything immortal, it attracts their attention.
We are starting by visitng my dad and his wife in Frederick, MD on June 17-18, and I’m taking everyone to see the Orioles v. the Angels at Camden Yards that Sunday.
From there, we head to NYC for three days, since Leigh-Anne has never been. We’re going to see the sights, visit my aunt and some cousins in CT, and catch the Mets and Phillies at Shea.
After that, we drive back to Cleveland via upstate NY, spending three days in the Finger Lakes region and visiting the wineries, as well as the famous Moosewood Restaurant.
I’m taking a photography course at the university. After that I plan spend as much time as possible out at the lake. That and drive around with camping equipment in the back of the car with no set destination. And of course, run through the sprinklers.
Great. Now I’m all excited.

I have a week off during July 4th. (site shut down, they make you take vacation leave…) haven’t decided if I’m staying at La Casa SwimmingRiddles and kicking back or going somewhere. If I can talk some people into it, I’d love to do a Maine week. I miss the ocean more than I miss most of my friends. Maybe camp at a state park up there. But they have big ole’ horseflies, so maybe not. I don’t know. My aunt has a house in the Hamptons, maybe I’ll see if she’s using it that week. Probably is. Harumph. Any low (LOW!) budget vacation ideas for me? (and being a love slave is NOT an option…)

Seriously, after the boards, I’m going to try to get away for a few days with the GF, since I will have neglected her so by studying for the boards. Not sure where, though.
I’m also doing the last five shows of the Phish tour in July (three at Deer Creek and two at Polaris).
Other than that, I plan to sit in my backyard, drink beer, and grill things.

Now I’m homesick. I was born in York Beach, Maine and made my last visit there on vacation last year, but only to scatter my grandmother’s ashes on the beach. I thought that would be my last York Beach visit as there was no reason to go back. I really miss it; such beautiful country. You’re very lucky if you make that trip.

Not summer exactly, but in October Mrs. Trion and I will be heading over to London and Dublin. We’ve been saving for a long time and I for one can’t wait. Yee-Ha.
We will be going to Cabo San Lucas for a week in May. After that is the No Cal Doper Wine Fest in June. A week of camping at the Russian River for the 4th of July (My kiddies will be out here for the whole month! Woo Hoo!)
It really doesn’t matter what I’l be doing this summer, what matters is who I’ll be with. This summer is going to be wonderful…
I would like to find a job overseas this summer but I don’t know how. So I am still looking for that Irish Pub that will take a chance and let me work for them.
Not for the summer, but today I am off to Spain and Portugal for a break from this wet and cold English weather!! Pity it is only 5 days, but you gotta take what you can get.
Well, hubby and I will be rearranging some rooms in our house, exercising, getting finances in order, buying a new car, and ::ahem:: some other things in the hope that we will be pregnant by late August, early September.
