What are you doing this weekend?

MrsB and the Hordling are away in Montreal looking for a new home, so I’ll be all alone. And working. And trying to find out what the hell is clicking every 78 minutes in my kitchen.

This weekend is sure to be boatloads of fun.
Saturday (last day of my work week): Work from 12pm-9pm. Will most likely be running around all day, sweating my ass off because we’re seriously understaffed. Store A/C isn’t working very well and isn’t being fixed until next week. Saturday is supposed to be very hot and muggy. I am not allowed to wear shorts because I’m a “specialist” and this somehow makes me different from the “regular” associates even though I do their dirty, labor-intensive job in addition to my own “cushy” desk job. Yay. Of course having the A/C fixed doesn’t mean a damn thing because the corporate people down in Atlanta control our A/C remotely and they are under the impression that us Yanks are able to cope with the level of heat that Southerners deal with.

Saturday night: possibly stay home and play CoH with my ex-boyfriend. Possibly go out to celebrate his birthday.

Sunday (first day of my weekend): get up early and go to work to rent a van. Then, go home and start the official end of my 7 year, 1 week and 1 day relationship. I am officially moving out of the condo and officially ending the relationship which ended many months ago. We are still friends and he is helping me move. I still love him and hopefully after some time alone (and with the help of a good shrink), I’ll be able to figure out what exactly my problem is and we can give it another go. Moving out and ending the relationship is necessary but it’s still not going to be fun. In addition to the emotional toll this is causing, Sunday is supposed to be over 90° and very muggy. Add the discomfort of moving in with a new roommate after almost 6 years living with a boyfriend (and ex is old classmate of new roommate and doesn’t like new roommate) and you have a day full of fun and happiness. Luckily I only have a rocking chair, a coffee table and two end tables so most of my move will just be small boxes. I don’t even have a bed :frowning:

Monday (second day of my weekend). Unpack my meager belongings. This should only take about 2 hours - and only if I refold all my clothes. Buy myself a pole and license. Hopefully go fishing.

Tomorrow I’m going to poke around the car dealerships, then I’m heading to a friend’s BDay party. Always the best parties, he gets 4-5 kegs and hires out a DJ and an open bar.

Sunday I’ll be wishing I was never born.

Mourning the elimination of the U.S. (World Cup).

Now, next week is better: Electric Daisy Carnival.

I’m currently visiting my parents, who live about 120km SW of Sydney.

Yay! Glad you’ve found someone who realizes what an excellent guy you are.

Aw, shucks! :o

Saturday: washing the car, cleaning, doing errands

Sunday: Colorado Renaissance Festival . We go every year, and it’s always a great time.

Mouse_Maven , we also want to go see Body Worlds. Let us know how you liked it

Last night was a free outdoor concert with friends – it was a great night (until the very end).

Later today I’m driving to Baltimore for an early Father’s Day celebration with Dad and my brother. I can’t wait to give Dad his gift! Also, I just got a new car stereo on Thursday that has an auxilliary input for my iPod, so I’m really looking forward to the drive.

Tomorrow afternoon I’m meeting my realtor and we’re going to look at some rentals. Mostly townhouses, but there is actually one single family home in my ZIP code renting for what I’m paying now and I definitely want to go take a look at that.

All in all, should be a pretty good weekend.

Seconded.

Saturday, head up to the folks’ house and celebrate with the parents and about half my siblings, then head out to a party tonight.

Sunday, a friend is coming over to help me pack up my house, then we’ll probably spend some time outside, since the weather promises to be beautiful.

So nothing really exciting, but I’m happy with that.

I’ve been having a housecleaning orgy; this is the first weekend in ages that I haven’t been working or away, and I’m happy to get the chance to spend some real time cleaning.

Later, we’re going to go buy a new bike for DangerDad. He’s been riding my brother’s old wreck for 5 years, which is ridiculous since he wants to bike to work as much as possible. It’s become way too routine that he gets ready for work, goes out there, and finds the tire mysteriously flat or some other random problem.

And we have a date tonight.

Tomorrow, it’s the usual church/relax/dinner at my folks’ house routine. We don’t do much for Father’s Day (OK, well, there’s the bike…).

Studying for the GRE’s. I didn’t have to take them to get my first masters, but I do for my second, and I kind of wish I had gotten this shit out of the way while I was unemployed before starting grad school.

I’m on a mission to get all of the stuff on both my hard drives that should be put on CDs, on CDs. I’ve been at it for about a month, and I’ve got about 60 gigs of stuff off the drives. There are about 40 more gigs to go. Exciting, eh? Not. But it’s too hot to go outside and do anything. At least in here I have A/C, and the Dope and stuff.
