Right now, I’m enjoying a cup of Earl Grey, hot.
I put a couple of bottles of homebrewed nut brown ale in the refrigerator this morning and I’m very, very much looking forward to those when I get home.

There is a local one in Thailand called Green Spot. It is hands down one of the two best I have ever had. Been drinking it for decades. It’s not promoted here as heavily as the international brands like Mirinda and Fanta, but it is G-O-O-O-O-D. And not hard to find. Used to be in bottles only, then a decade or so ago they started putting it in cans, and the canned stuff just doesn’t seem to taste the same to me.
The other best one is another long-running local product called Bireley’s. Bottles only. Tastes like heaven. The company was started in 1948 by an American, and it at least used to have an American parent company, but I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of it while I was in the US. A little harder to find than Green Spot but still not too diffilcult.
As for what I’m drinking now, Moccona Select instant coffee again, as the wife has left me.

Friday night, and I’m nursing a Scotch and soda. Not a great Scotch, just an everyday one, 100 Pipers from Seagram’s, but it’s okay for non-special occasions.
Beer. Corona. No lime.
I’m actually on a solo vacation this weekend. It’s turning out to be a lot more fun then I expected. I ate at this place called Gino’s Pizza and they had some sort of Firestone Ale on taP. It was amazing but I couldn’t figure out what beer it was from Firestorm Breswery. Brown, easy drinking, slightly sweet taste and it had a light smell of alcohol and sweetness.
Sunday morning. Coffee. Starbucks’ breakfast blend.
Beer.
Pacifico.
Ten High. Either the cheapest good bourbon or the best cheap bourbon, for my money.
rolling Rock. I may have a Wing Walker next.
Nyquil with a Cepacol lozenge chaser.
Killed the coffee earlier. Now it is ice water .
You argue eloquently, I admit, but you waste your effort. Nobody cares what swill you dive into when you want to get a buzz on.

Despite my admiration for your prose, I must persist in my opinion that Michelob beer is flavored water. It has no effect on the palate, and only carries the benefit of drunkeness if you have the thirst of a camel.

Chilled Fresca. I’m not much for diet drinks (the chemical aspartame/nutrasweet taste just turns me right off), but Fresca works for me.
I’m finishing a bottle of Prometheus Springs Lemon Ginger Capsaicin Spiced Elixir.
I saw it at the health food store the other day and figured I’d give it a try. It tastes pretty much like a glass of Master Cleanse / Lemonade Diet concoction when you go heavy handed on the cayenne. Some of the other flavors may be more interesting and not trigger previous taste memories.
