For the purposes of this poll, ‘berry’ is defined as a fruit (or rock 'n roll pioneer) that has ‘berry’ as part if its name.
mmm
Crunch.
Berry fruits are my favorites. Scat interested, underage girl lovin’, tax evading rock stars not so much.
As a raw fruit: Strawberries I like served all kinds of ways. Berries like mulberries or blackberries or raspberries or saskatoon berries I only like if they’re nice, ripe and juicy and I can pick them right off a bush.
In jam/jelly form: I like just about any kind of berry. (Maybe not cranberries.)
Lately we’ve been on a huckleberry kick around here.
Other: black raspberries. Especially tarts made from fresh black raspberries. Yummy yum yum. I also prefer Buckcherry to Chuck Berry.
Yeah, but he could jam.
mmm
I’ve never actually had elderberries, loganberries, or huckleberries!
Native to this area are Toyon berries, which aren’t very good, really…but I have tried 'em.
What’s a chuck berry?
I’ve been reading Mark Twain to my son lately, and his favorite is Huckleberry.
Depends.
If we’re talking pie, blueberry wins easily.
For yogurt, I’ll take boysenberry.
For a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, give me strawberry.
If I’m just eating them fresh from a bowl… raspberries sound best.
Rachel Berry?
I believe boysenberry jam was brought down from Olympus by the gods. So of course it turns out to be another food you can’t get in FOSONE. Stores have 'leventy brands of strawberry (which is okay), just as many grape (bleh) and some wiillllllddd options like blueberry.
So along with my occasional order of six jars of Woody’s Cookin’ Sauce, I get six jars of Smucker’s Boysenberry Jam. Just placed an order and I’ve been out of jam for months. Yum.
(Fresh, I’ll take strawberries any time, blackberries when they can be found, and trample small children to get boysenberries.)
How many berries could Chuck Berry bury if Chuck Berry could bury berries?
(And let’s not involve Barry Berry in this.)
The indians used to eat them to induce vomiting. Short for upchuck berry. You can find them on any blueberry hill.
I voted other, for cloudberries.
We knew them as bakeapples when I was young.
Salmonberries and Cloudberries
My dad grew up in the Seattle area and we lived in Alaska for a while, so we used to look for cloudberries, salmonberries, blueberries, and blackberries and stuff ourselves silly. Good times
:smack:
Never mind.
Barry White of you.
And if Chuck Berry DOESN’T bury berries, would he get beriberi (and be berry, berry sick)?
