I pay a local ISP $89 for 6 months of unlimited access dialup.
I’m with the walrus. I pay $35,000 a year for free dial up service (room and board extra). It sounds like you guys pay a lot, I had assumed that internet access was cheaper. Local phone bill, long distance, cell phone, cable, internet… the communication bills really start to add up.
I pay $40/month to Optimum Online here in Connecticut. I get about 500 kilobytes/second downloading from a fast site, and about half that uploading. The speed isn’t guaranteed, but in three years it’s stayed that fast.
Around $40 for cable modem. DSL is about $10 more, so no thanks.
During the summer, I paid $9.95 for Netzero/Juno’s service. I hope I don’t have to do that again.
