What are you listening to now that you love?

This live performance of Richard Elliott doing Stiletto Heelswon’t get out of my head, it’s SOFA KING good … not that I want it out … so bouncy and right …

I’ve also been listening to the background music of Playboy Fantasies videos … nice, jazzy tunes that are very good for getting work done … so long as you don’t watch the videos, which are … distracting. Sorry, can’t provide any links, as the Playboy Fantasies are not floating around anywhere on the Web that I know of, and I don’t know who did the music … wish I did.

I was aware of, but never listened to, Blossom Dearie. Now I’m making up for it.

Metal: Akitsa, Absurd, Beastiality, Necromantia & Mystifier.

Non-metal: Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, Alice Coltrane & good ol’ Domenico Scarlatti.

Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears - Boogie. I DARE you to sit still while listening to this song!

I recently re-discovered how much I love this song - U2 - Seconds (from the “War” album). It’s from back when U2 was awesome.

ETA: Why you people post songs you love but not a link to a video? Why I gotta do your work for you?

Birdsong coming in the window.

Stevie Ray Vaughn’s greatest hits, what a great guitar player he is. also the sound track to
the album 1969.

L’Agonie du Languedoc, not exactly on your top 40 list. and sorry, no videos. Blondebear comment made me think of this because it seems to be recorded in a church, and at the end of one tune (vinyl, yes, it’s that old) a bird chirps while the music fades.

Desert Dwellers.

not videos per se, but that’s the music. The language.

Brother Love… Ruketete te Mamae - the Roimata song

Jack Dejohnette - One for Eric

Aloe Blacc I’m the Man.

I’m a nerd. I’m listening to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Heck, sometimes you can’t beat the classics though. They asked him what percussion he wanted and he said “Cannons.”

Thanks for turning me on to this band. Two albums on Spotify and I cannot stop listening!

Just discovered Lucius. Well, actually, I’ve heard them for about 8 months now, but just found this performance:

It opened my eyes to how talented the girls are, and I appreciate how they do a lot with little at this venue. At ~ 9:00 the song, Turn it Around comes on… one of my favorite earworms these days. But stay tuned after that for the percussive freelance that shows in Genevieve.

Janet Jackson -Decade of decandence
also Jimi Hendrix - Axis bold as love, super guitar playing.

Bobby Womack, as pretty well reinvented by Damon Albarn - with an intro by Gil Scott-Heron:

Ingrid Michaelson.

Here she sings an upbeat song, “Girls chase boys”: Ingrid Michaelson - Girls Chase Boys - YouTube

And a sad but lovely song with A Great Big World called “Over You”:

Nice voice.

Bach’s six motets.

Sam Smith…My God, how can a young guy sing high notes like this so beautifully?

“Latch”:

“Stay with me”:
