What are you putting off right now?

I’m not repainting the bathroom ceiling. Got rid of the mildew. Bought “stain blocking” primer. Took another trip to get new rollers and . . . am sitting here typing while my daylight fades away.

Your turn.

I’m putting off putting on clothing - I have a dinner date in about an hour and should really get dressed before I go.

I skipped practice so I could go home and clean the kitchen and bathroom before I leave town for the holidays. But instead of goign home, I’m screwin’ around at work. listening to the guy in the next cubicle hack away. It’s the 21st and it’s 6:30 pm: go home and leave me in peace…

Nothing major, just a video project I’m working on, a story my grandfather wants written down (have notes, just can’t be arsed), a costume I want ready for the end of February and that I don’t even have all the supplies for yet, and wrapping Christmas presents. I don’t have a lot to do with my time :stuck_out_tongue:

Studying for my physics final.

Wrapping Christmas presents. Or, more accurately, throwing presents in their gift bags and taping them closed.

A bit of work I need to finish tonight. I was beat when I got home, so I thought I’d get a snack and read the Dope first.

The snack is gone, so I guess I’d better get back to work. sigh.

Clearing off the sewing table so I can start a new project with the fabric I picked up today.

I’m putting off packing the brownies I just baked for Secret Santa tomorrow, and I’ve been delaying cleaning out my expanding assignment folder (with several pockets, and it badly needs cleaning) for weeks.

Mailing a contentious letter to my ex- about her failure to make my daughter available to visit me, as per our separation agreement over the holidays. It’s been sitting in my outbox all day, and I dread getting into a back-and-forth with her, but I know I have to.

Assembling a torchiere that just arrived today. I know I’m going to have to shortly, especially since I just spent $25 on those damn twisty low-energy lights, but right now I just feel like surfing the Dope.

I should be cleaning my house. I sorta let it go around midterms or so. I need to run a bunch of stuff to the goodwill. I just can’t be bothered to do much more than marinate my liver and play video games at the moment, though.

Nothing, really. I’m going to go take a bath and read for a bit before bed. Even more obnoxiously, I’ve got nothing I need to do this weekend, other than go to a party Sunday. There are some amazing advantages to not celebrating Christmas.

Going to bed. But not for much longer …

Nighty night.

Filling out my college application. But I have until January 15, so, I will probably put it off a couple more weeks.

Holiday baking.

Looking up last semesters grades. They are going to be horrible, and I really don’t want to know how much damage I just did to my GPA.

Hm, lets see now:

Wrapping up the last few presents.

Washing all the crystal and wine glasses and putting them in their cabinet in the kitchen. I received them a few weeks ago, but they’re still wrapped up in a big box.

Scrubbing the kitchen and three bathrooms top to bottom.

Vacuuming and then steam cleaning the carpets.

Dusting everything and polishing everything.

Cleaning the upstairs bonus room.

Washing, folding, and putting a way metric buttload of laundry. The kids have been lax in their folding duties.

Washing down the kitchen cupboards and polishing them them with furniture polish. Cleaning the glass door kitchen cabinet so the crystal really shines (after I’ve washed all the crystal and wine glasses).

Washing the kitchen and bathroom floors.

Picking up the stocking stuffers for the kids.

Taking the kids to the store so they can buy presents for each other as well as myself and my husband.

There’s more, but that’s all I can bear to think about at the moment.

I’m even more tired after reading all that…great.
