What are you watching on Hulu?

I’m asking specifically about defunct shows that you have rediscovered and are now enjoying again. But don’t limit your answers to that–take the question in any way you want.

I’ve just started re-watching Sports Night. God, I’d forgotten what a great show that was. And I’m only on the second episode of the first season. As with all Aaron Sorkin shows, closed captioning is a must–no way to keep up with the rapid-fire dialogue otherwise.

An article in *Esquire *implies that Dan is cool and Casey is not. Casey defends his coolness.
Casey: I’m cool! I *love *music!
Dan: (with irony) Yeah, in your car you have the Starland Vocal Band doing “Afternoon Delight.”
Casey: Wait. Yeah, I have the Starland Vocal Band playing “Afternoon Delight,” but it’s not like I went out and bought the single. It’s in my Time-Life “Sounds of the 70s” collection.

I’ve also been watching *Cybill *where Christine Baranski first made her mark persecuting Dr. Dick. And Grace Under Fire, which was really good in the early episodes.

And Lou Grant. Holy crap! How DID they put out several editions of a newspaper in the same day without computers? Loved Mason Adams as the Managing Editor (when he wasn’t being the voice of Smuckers), and Nancy Marchand as Mrs. Pynchon, the highly principled publisher. When a guy held the city room crew hostage at gunpoint, afterward Lou would have put the story on the front page, but Mrs. Pynchon refused to give the man the notoriety he craved. *You go, girl! *

Thanks for posting the thread. I’ve been wanting to post a thread like this one, but didn’t know how to start it. I’m also interested in getting suggestions on what to watch on Hulu.

Thanks for the Lou Grant suggestion. From that, I found a show I haven’t watched before called The Pretender. I also have a series I read about here called Endgame that I’m interested in watching on Hulu.

Is there a Hulu show finder that’s similar to NetFlix Roulette, where you can find random shows on NetFlix? I like that concept but I don’t have NetFlix.

Mostly current stuff, as we cut the cable long ago.

Arrow, Flash, SHIELD for current stuff. Blue Bloods and Manhattan for just-past stuff. Most older stuff we’ve already watched on Netflix, or paid for on Vudu. But they do have an impressive library of shows from the non premium channels.

If Britcoms are your thing:

1.)Rev. (I highly recommend this one. Even if you’re an Atheist like me, you should enjoy this one. It’s not about god)

2.) Whites.

3.) Moone Boy. (This one’s a little out there I admit)

I discovered last night that they have a bunch of Rifftrax offerings. MST3K without the endless opening sequence and time wasted on not making fun of the movies.
