What are your favorite HAPPY love songs?

Yes, thanks muchly gallows fodder for Annette Hanshaw. And to HazelNutCoffee for the topic. Here are two more of my favorites from Annette,[ul]
[li]Ain’t He Sweet[/li][li]We Just Couldn’t Say Goodbye[/li][/ul]Also Alice Faye with Joan Davis and Marjorie Weaver,[ul]
[li]Got My Mind on Music[/li][/ul]Yuri,[ul]
[li]Tú y yo (You and I, holding hands…)[/li][/ul]Virginia López,[ul]

[li]El camino de la felicidad(The road of happiness)[/li][li]Corazón de trampolín (Diving-board heart)[/li][/ul]Smokey Robinson and The Miracles,[ul]
[li]From Head to Toe[/li][/ul]And Wanda Jackson,[ul]
[li]Sparklin’ Brown Eyes[/li][/ul]

Just watched a nostalgia concert on PBS, and one of the songs was “Lover’s Concerto” by the Toys, melody by Bach. I always stop whatever I’m doing when that plays on the radio.

Vh1 number fourteen with a bullet. Gonna be a Summer Contender.

Fitz and the Tantrums- Money Grabber

Something reassuringly 80’s and Brian Ferry about this.

A couple by the brilliant green, which is my favourite band…

Love Baby
Brownie the Cat
You & I

You Make My Pants Wanna Get Up and Dance, by Dr Hook

I’m Gonna Always Love You from the Muppets Take Manhattan (makes me laugh)

So many of mine have been mentioned already, but not this one.

Split Enz Message to My Girl (1984), a very kiwi bloke expression of love …

I don’t wanna say ‘I love you’,
that would give away too much…

(snip)

There’s nothing quite as real
as the touch of your sweet hand

(snip)

I’ll sing it to the world,
a simple message to my girl.
It makes me smile every time I hear it, even after all these years. But, I’m a kiwi chick.

Thought of another one … “When I Think of You” - Janet Jackson.

You know, when I read the title, I thought HAPPY implied upbeat, effervescent, giddy. A lot of the songs mentioned are positive but angsty or slow (albeit romantic) … I mean, I LOVE “Friday I’m in Love” but I would have never thought to post it here. Just an observation, not a criticism.
