What are your favorite SDMB expressions?

In my head I often exclaim “Great Og on a pogo stick!” when I experience something outlandish. So far, I have managed to avoid saying this out loud and having people look at me funny. So far.

Anyone got a link for the burning your dog thread?
I tried searching, but most of the words where too short…

After the fun of encountering a catchphrase the first dozen times, it’s takes skill to make the phrase funny again.

So, I don’t really have a favorite, but almost of them can be still funny at the right moment. I’m not sure it counts as a SDMB expression, but in the current Pit thread, Intolerant Atheists, Vinyl Turnip made me smile with Here, put on these victimhood goggles.

I have actually used “I, for one, welcome our feline overlords” at a friend’s house that has a bunch of cats.

There are two who are GIGANTIC black cats with golden eyes.
I have dubbed them, ‘throw pillows with eyes’.

They are that size, y’all. Seriously.

But, yes, that is a great catchphrase.

None of them. Catchphrases on message boards are just as irritating as those on television- think JJ Walker’s “Dyn-o-MITE!”.

Indeed I do! It’s among The truly great threads in SDMB history on Page 1 and is The rock in the box: I burning your dog and, if you’re anything at all like me, you’ll be laughing in minutes and for the rest of the day! Enjoy!

But what if one of these catchphrases were placed on a treadmill?

Could any of these catchphrases go downwind faster than the wind?

Odds are good that terms of unendearment like ‘asshat’ and ‘fucknugget’ originated somewhere else, but I’ve only rarely seen ‘asshat’ anywhere else, and still haven’t seen ‘fucknugget’ anywhere besides here. On those rare occasions when I’ve used them IRL, people have cracked up because they’ve never heard them before.

I think this phrase came from The Simpson’s. At least, according to this.

J.

It is most certainly from The Simpsons. I don’t even need to click on your link. It’s from the episode when Homer went into outer space.
