What are your favorite songs that begins with the letter E? See rules in OP: FINAL POLL ADDED

Empty Chairs at Empty Tables from “Les Miserables”
Eddie - Styx

  1. Emotional Rescue - The Rolling Stones

  2. Even It Up - Heart

Last one…

  1. Edelweiss - Cast of The Sound of Music

Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye - John Coltrane

I don’t like Leonard Cohen and had never heard of this song, but I do like the concept. I imagine them interviewing Steely Dan under caution about Deacon Blue.

Where are the gales this November?
I so wanted to see The Edmund Fitzgerald on the list. I was going to ask for an edit to my list. Instead I bumped the TEF thread hoping someone would pick it up.

My votes keep getting wiped for some weird reason. I think they finally “stuck” for good, maybe.

In any event there’s two top vote-getters here that I don’t care for all that much, Eleanor Rigby and Everybody Hurts. Maudlin melodrama rarely does anything for me-and REM ripped off Chicago/Terry Kath and his Colour My World.

Save it for the Ws

The WRECK of the Edmund Fitzgerald can sail into the W thread when that comes up.

But there will be a lot of W songs, this one is likely just the tip of the iceberg.

Which submissions are missing? Maybe there is a reason (or maybe it was my error), I can investigate.

mmm

Ah it was a wreckoning.

As letter threads go, it’ll be bigger than most.

mmm

They’re all still in there now.
