My cocker spaniel / border collie mix is named Ki (as in Qi). Not our fault, he was originally owned by a Jewish-Buddhist family.

Liebchen the miniature Duchshund

Chiquita - Australian Shepherd/something small

Chewy and Greta- orange tabbies
Mary Grace - grey tabby

7-year-old male tuxedo cat: Ozzie

2-year-old male mutt cat: Lenny

I’ve named my cats after old men  !

DSH tortie cat named Rosie

lab, spaniel, border collie, ? mix dog named Stella (AKA la Stella Bella)

(Actually, my housemate’s cats)

Tipsy - female calico
Simon - a big orange Tom - also known as “Kitty Pukes-a-lot”

I have four cats. Oldest to youngest:

Eleanor (Smellanore, or Ellasnore): six year old tortoiseshell. Very lovely, affectionate cat, if somewhat ugly.

Anastasia: four year old tortoiseshell. Psychotic bitch. We tend to give each other a wide berth. She does love my girlfriend, who used to be her sole owner, but can still be crazymean to her when she wants to. She’s too goddamned smart for her own good, and responds to many words, though she wouldn’t ever obey a command.

Sophia (Sophie!, Snow-phie): three year old siamesish mutt kitty. Very stupid. Pretty. She doesn’t have a normal meow or make the kind of sounds that siamese cats make - she squeaks. Seriously. She and Eleanor lived with me before I moved in with my girlfriend.

Murray: year-old ginger tabby. Somehow he’s quite fat, even though we play with him often and only feet him lite Science Diet. He’s not very affectionate most of the time, but he sleeps in my room with me, and every morning when I get up he crawls all over me purring. It’s mucho cute.

There’s also Princess (not my choice), our six (seven?) year old black lab-chow mix. She’s a wonderful dog. Orange and furry.

Sorry. Too many comments. I can’t help myself.

We have three cats:

“Patches” (aka “Regular Kitty” or “Rat Kitty”)

“Babyface” (aka “Psycho Kitty” or “Hitler Kitty” (she has a tiny black mustache)

“Fred” (aka “Chunky Monkey”)

Cats:
Inigo: Igo, Big Kitty
Mija: Little Kitty, Spaz

Snakes:
Cleopatra: Cleo, Miss Cleo
Seymour: Special Ed (he’s a bit…uh…slow, not that snakes are working with a lot to begin with)

Horses:
Ferrana: Ana, Princess Feet (she hates getting her feet muddy/wet/dirty), Miss Pretty
Firefly: Pony, Sorrel (hey, she’s new, give me more time…)

I have a rabbit called Ziggy.

Part Hound - Part Chocolate Lab mix named Shakespeare

Brother & sister cats: Simone & Garfunkel, which we usually call “Funky” and “Sissy.”

Our previous cat was named Gilbert Orenthal Xavier, just because I like to name things. We usually referred to him as “sir.”

Two guinea pigs. The old man is Duster, because he looks like a dust mop, long shaggy coat. the baby we call Bruiser, because he has black around one eye, like he was in a fight.

1 cat, Veena or “Veeners”
1 dog, Rascal or “Rascalee”
1 goldfish, Goldie, no nickname

2 cats

Oreo: so named because (whoda thunkit) he’s black and white

Scout: when we brought him home as tiny little kitten, all he wanted to do was explore. Well, “Explorer” seemed kinda lame, so he became “Scout”.

Oh my. My SO and I have a zillion names for our pets.

Dillinger, the 18 lb tabby is commonly referred to as “Fatty McCheesecake”, “Boo Bap”, “Buddy Boy of the Boo Bap” and “The Sir”.

Gia, the medium-haired Tortie is usually reffered to as “The Dingleberry Fairy”, “Pretty Pretty Princess” “Princess Gia of the Boo Bap” and “The magical fairy who brings dingleberries”.

My SO and I call Willow, our roomate’s cat, “Willow, NO” and “Snow Moose”

And right after I posted, I called Gia over to me and realized that I left out “Gia Beaw” and “Gia Beaw, the Hawwiest Hawwie Haiw” shakes head

God, we’re pretty cheesy 'round here.

Cat: Tibet. AKA Tibby, Tibetski, Little Shit. Story behind this: She was a rescued stray and had TB as a kitten, and that became her name!

Snakes:
The orange-red corn - Cheeto
The brown-yellow corn - Frito

Mice:
Taco, Fishy, Chicken, Blackie, Harvey Two-Face, & Donut

Beta Fish:
Dudley ('cause he’s a dud), and Flipper (but he really should be called “Killer” - the thing ate a whole moth that got stuck in the water)
