What are your sources of news?

I just started worrying that my sources of news aren’t diverse enough (inspired by the total lack of desire to watch the TV news tonight.)

I get my news from:
NPR
Yahoo News

Newsweek (to be replaced by The Economist once the free subscription expires)

… and that’s pretty much it. Everything else is entertainment, not really news.

So where do you get your news?

The Sydney Morning Herald, Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s “Radio National” and the SDMB.

I mostly consult a local TV news site (www.ktvb.com) but I also sometimes go to CNN, and of course this site also alerts me to a lot of the things going on in the world.

One of my internet habits is that after I read an overseas (or even interstate) news story, if it interests me, I’ll seek out an online newspaper that is local to the event, to get more in-depth coverage, and to see what the local people think of it.

Last time I did this was when that Cuban martial arts guy lost his nut at the Olympics. I visited my first-ever Cuban website, an English language news outlet. Lots of olympic coverage, but not a mention of that bit.

BBC, Times, Telegraph, Guardian, less frequently are CNN and Fox.

I find that this site is the best place to get news. The seem to have a lot of inside information on the goings on of the world.
