What are your three favorite chewing/bubble gum flavors?

The thread started earlier today – What is your favorite Altoid flavor? – made me curious about gum so I asked Help me name some chewing gum brands and flavors for a poll and got enough choices to go ahead with a poll.

Public, Multiple Choice (limit to 3 votes) poll on the way shortly.

Well, I guess this was not so great an idea. :frowning:

Ya got any Beemans?

I buy Clove by the case when it makes its irregular appearances on the market. Loved it since I was a kid. It’s the only gum with sugar I’ll regularly chew. (I’ll also make the occasional buy of Teaberry, Beemans, and Pepsin.)

The other two gums I regularly chew weren’t on your list:

5- Cobalt (a pepperminty gum that’s not as strong as most peppermint gums)
Orbit- Wintermint (wintergreen)

Both are sugarfree and come in pocket-friendly flat packs. I prefer 5 because the sticks are foil-wrapped, and stand up to moisture and heat better.

Five is really good gum. I also like their green apple and tropical flavors. For bubble gum, I love Bubble Yum watermelon flavor.

I’ve been trying the new sugar free Extra flavors - Apple Pie, Mint Chocolate chip, Orange Creme Pop.

But my go to flavor is sugar free cinnamon. Dentyne or whatever I can find. Surprisingly, cinnamon gum is harder to find across the board of brands.

I get an incredible Pavlovian reaction from the smell of Double Bubble or Bazook Joe.

Juicy Fruit is my favorite gum. Big Red 2nd choice. 3rd would be a bubble gum; I choose Bazooka Joe from your poll. I always read the cartoon with Bazooka Joe.

As a kid, I loved those bubble gum sticks. They were about the size of an ink pen around and about eight inches long. I recall bubble gum & sour apple as the two flavors store carried. I haven’t seem them for sale in at least 20 years.

You’ve mostly posted brands, not flavors. Dentyne, Trident, Eclipse, etc. all come in multiple flavors.

My favorite flavors are: Wrigleys EXTRA Spearmint, Hubba Bubba’s Original Bubblegum flavor (which I can only find now in the “Bubble Tape” version :frowning: ), and Trident’s Cinnamon.

Bazooka Joe, 'cus it tastes like my childhood.

Trident (Original Flavor), my go-to, every-day default gum.

Juicy Fruit, because it tastes like magic.

HM: Fruit Stripe. Tastes even more like magic, but only for about 4.35 seconds. But oh, what a great 4.35 seconds those are.

Bazooka and Dubble Bubble 'cuz I love me some cheap bubble gum (and yeah, reminds me of my childhood. I used to collect Bazooka Joe comics. I have no idea why, because I thought they were stupid even when I was a kid).

Stride, because it seems to hold onto its flavor longer than most other gums. I keep it in my car.

Honorable Mention (not on the list): those flat little pieces of bubble gum that used to come in Wacky Packages in the '70s. I mostly bought them for the stickers, of course, but the gum was pretty good in a cardboard sort of way.

Side issue: do any of y’all remember bubble gum cigars?

Oh yeah. The only problem with bubblegum cigars was the temptation to try and chew the whole thing at once.

Yes! Your whole mouth so full you couldn’t even chew!

You can still get those! Candy cigarettes, too. We have a place near us called Powell’s that has all sorts of candy that you’d think they haven’t made in years.
