Seems like everyone is falling all over themselves about Chrome. I downloaded it, and I use it occasionally for things that don’t work well in Firefox, but I have found it incredibly slow and so I don’t use it as my main browser. Yesterday I had a geek out for a little computer work, and I asked him what he used, and he said Internet Explorer and I was like  Whatwhatwhat? Isn’t that the Myspace of browsers? Who uses that anymore? But then he said that IE9 was redesigned and now safe and tested to be the fastest browser out there. Excuse me? My oldest son says that he only told me that so that I would use IE and he would get more of my business.
I’m a Firefox loyalist. I’m used to it, I like it, it works for me.
I used to use Firefox for everything, but ever since Chrome came out, I started using that more and more. Now that’s the one I use for everything, pretty much.
Firefox. I’m just so used to it; been using it since about 2005. If I can port over all of my functionality from Firefox to Chrome I will switch, because it seems faster and more reliable.
I’ve been using Firefox since 2005 or so. Still like it better than the rest. I occasionally use Chrome just to compare or if Firefox doesn’t seem to work right. I use IE at work because I don’t get to choose. It has improve a whole lot in the last few versions, but as far as I know, it still doesn’t offer my 2 favorite add-ons, AdBlock Plus and Flashblock.
I voted Safari because I use it on my Mac at home, but I use Firefox at work on the Windows box there. I also use Firefox as a fall back at home if I’m browsing a page that doesn’t like Safari.
I’ve been a Firefox loyalist for a long time. I tried Chrome when it first came out and it didn’t impress me much. A couple of days ago, I suddenly had trouble playing Pandora on Firefox. I used their troubleshooting tips and it still wouldn’t work. The only thing I hadn’t done was disable Flashblock and Adblock. Over my dead body. So just today, I tried Chrome again. I added Flashblock and Adblock first thing. Pandora stopped working. I was able to make an exception for Pandora in Chrome’s Flashblock much easier than on Firefox. Pandora played again. I think I’m finally going to switch.
After 15 years of faithfully (stubbornly) clinging to IE, I finally got fed up with its problems (including the newest version for Vista) and switched to Firefox about a year ago. I haven’t once used IE since then.
On the rare occasions when FF has difficulty, I switch to Chrome. I like Chrome for its speed, but the stripped down interface isn’t for me.
Firefox. But it’s worth mentioning that 99% of my internet usage is on Linux (I dual boot Linux/Windows, but I only use Windows for a few programs that don’t exist on Linux, like Kindle for PC).
Firefox works perfectly well on Windows, but it works really well on Linux.
Plus, Ad-Block. I know it’s been ported to Chrome, but seriously, Ad-Block, people. I will not use a browser that doesn’t include Ad-Block. It makes the internet a much nicer and much more usable place.
Firefox. Unfortunately some changes they’ve made recently, as well as some changes Mozilla has made to Thunderbird, make me worry they’re going to keep going in directions I don’t like and I’ll be left without any browsers I like.
I use Firefox on my home computer. I am forced to use IE7 on my work computer. I might be willing to investigate this Chrome thing, 'cuz Firefox has been getting a little wonky in the last couple releases.
