What Browser Do You Use?

And 1/2 hour later, my computer completely froze when I clicked on the Firefox tab to try to close it again.

Firefox with some extensions for streaming and such, and Chrome for my million tab browsing.

Firefox most of the time, but also Opera. Chrome occasionally when I’m testing things. Chrome is good but too minimalist for me.

I tried Chrome and didn’t like it so I stick with my Firefox. I don’t like the rapid release schedule though, I’m attached to my Snaplinks addon and FF7 screws it up. If they switch to an automatic update method without addressing addon compatibility I will be checking out Opera.

Chrome for the majority of my internet browsing, Firefox sparingly, nothing else after that.

I could not browse the net if it wasn’t for adblock. I use Firefox, sometimes Chrome and for some Microsoft sites Internet Explorer (9 is not bad).

I used Opera for a few years but then one of the updates totally messed it up. I switched to Chrome a couple of months ago.

Internet Explorer: The #1 browser for downloading better browsers!
I use Chrome on my home computers.

My wife’s netbook came with Chrome preinstalled so I’ve had some occasion to use it. Its minimalism approach frustrates me more than it impresses me. Maybe there’s ways to tinker with it but I haven’t bothered because I’m happy enough with Firefox.

I’ve never understood all the “this browser is so much faster” stuff but maybe my web exploring is more limited and I come across less sites where it makes a difference. Plus I’m too lazy to try and replicate all my Firefox add-ons, especially my Greasemonkey scripts for reformatting some forums.

My tablet (HP Touchpad) uses some webOS browser which is a piece of shit. That’s really my only criticism about the tablet as a whole but, given that it’s mainly used for web browsing, it’s a constant stickler.

Firefox at home, Firefox and IE at work for different software applications. The Iphone came with Safari, which is sufficient enough for my needs, since I’m not much for phone apps.

Firefox mostly, for home use, but it is bugging me more and more. It is so slow to load now. Chrome feels snappy in comparison, but I’m stuck in my ways I suppose. IE9 is actually OK when I have to use it.

Dolphin HD on the phone is a great browser.

Same here.

I used Chrome at home, but I use Firefox at work because the state database I do a lot of my work in isn’t compatible with Chrome yet.

I clicked on Firefox, but actually use Ice Weasel.

Have Internet Explorer for sites that are so non-standards-compliant that that is all they will work under. But my browser of choice is Firefox – I’ve been using Mozilla/Netscape browsers for over fifteen years.

That said, I’m getting pretty tired of losing desirable features with every release.

I stuck with 3.6x until about half-an-hour ago, when I upgraded to 7.0.1, which is going to take A LOT of customization.

Mozilla should meditate on the implications of users writing add-ons to recover the functions they have so merrily ditched …

I like how cleanly Safari works but it quits for no reason rather often and I have to occasionally ‘force quit’ to remedy the slowdowns. So I use Chrome with Safari. I have no qualms about Chrome and pretty much works flawlessly. I also use Firefox sometimes but it slows my mac down for some reason… could be too many add-ons but how can you not check them out?

I use Firefox on my PC at home and Safari and Chrome on my iMac. Safari is often slow on some sites I go to so that’s when I switch to Chrome. I also like the facility of translating pages in Chrome.

I use IE 7 at work.

I primarily use Chrome. I just got a new laptop and everything seems to be going nice and super fast right now. The most recent Internet Explorer is very good as well. I’m mildly lost with the new release of Firefox, though.

I do use Firefox on my phone, though.

Firefox, but not the newest version. It hasn’t bugged me to upgrade past 3.6 yet so I don’t.

I wonder if everyone that finds Firefox slow, if they would use AdBlock, would find it faster. I’ve never found it slow, myself. But then again I use pretty powerful computers and not laptops.

NoScript and AdBlock would greatly speed up any Firefox I’d bet.

Firefox keeps bugging me to upgrade to 7 or whatever the hell they’re up to, but at the same time they tell me my extensions won’t all work, so it’s a no go for me.
