What bumper stickers have you had stolen?

I had a lime-green ribbon (for my type of cancer - lymphoma) magnet that was stolen. Really? You would steal a cancer ribbon? I figured it was some teenager that liked the color. :dubious:

I had a Darwin Fish stolen from my car. I stopped putting on bumper stickers after that because they screwed up my car pretty good talking it off. I think they used a hammer and chisel.

HEH, I just saw this sentiment for sale on cute little lapel pins, I have an evil desire to buy a dozen :stuck_out_tongue: I’d probably get fired though!

When a relative ran the breast cancer 3-day, I bought promotional stuff to support her team. My car magnet was stolen almost immediately, so I just had to go and buy some more, although I was a little po’d. Go buy your own, don’t steal mine!
Please, “Feel Your Boobies”!
(totally work-safe, unless boobies is a bad word!)

I guess I could get by with that, because I’ve seen a “Save the Ta-Ta’s” sticker in the deck.
But I like the Akron one more. I got it at Rubber City Clothing.

Had a Darwin fish torn off my car, back around 1994 or so. They were pretty new back then. On the flip side, on two occasions people who were behind me (one at a stop light, one at a fast food drive-thru) actually got out of their cars, walked up to me, and asked where I’d gotten the fish, because they wanted one of their own.

Probably a lot less than two Air Force 1 flights across the pond in two weeks.

I don’t condone whipping hippies but dude kind of deserved it. This made me chuckle because “Think with your dip stick” popped into my head.

McCain '08 sticker scratched off. It seems Chicago is not my kind of town.

Opposite of stealing but back in '96 my roommate was a very conservative republican. I put a few Clinton/Gore '96 bumper stickers on his truck. He drove it around for a week before someone said something to him (nosy neighbors). Anyway, we got a big kick out of that for awhile.

I’ve never had one stolen. I do have an ex-GF that had several vandalized and several emblems stolen. Her minivan was a rolling billboard of atheist, way-to-the-left liberal and anti-establishment slogans.
Amazing we lasted as long as we did.

My daughter had a bone-shaped “I  my Pug” magnet stolen from her car. Guess someone was too lazy to go buy their own… or someone hates pugs.

None.

And I’ve never stolen a bumper sticker or magnet, either. It is theft and/or vandalism. Let freedom speak.

Wait, what am I talking about? I vaguely remember stealing a Bush '08 yard sign once. Or maybe we just yanked it out. Eh, those things are free, anyway.

Still, not sure I could touch someone else’s CAR.

The most innocuous, inoffensive bumper sticker of all time:

Riverside Christian College
Building Futures, Shaping Lives
[Series of digits which I assume is their phone number]

Riverside Christian College being a private junior high school/high school in Queensland, Australia, where a friend of mine teaches.

I have absolutely ZERO idea what beef anyone would have with that, but whaddyaknow, it was stolen.

I have a bumper sticker that says, “Let your compassion be greater than your fear” that someone tried to pick off. It’s still there, but very ratty looking. That’s okay - I just got my Obama '12 sticker in the mail that I’ll use to replace it.

My dad had his truck vandalized earlier this year because he had a pro-Scott Walker bumper sticker on the tailgate.

My ex-mother-in-law had a “fear this” with a scottie dog sticker stolen off her car, and my sister had her UWM school of nursing sticker stolen off hers.

At least my dad’s made some kind of sense to me.

I had a lime green ribbon – for lymphoma, stolen. I was really ticked off – I mean, hey, steal the lady with cancer’s bumper sticker?

I’ve never had a bumper sticker stolen but I have had two different antenna toppers disappear. One was an 8-ball and the other was shaped like a hockey puck with my team’s logo on it.
Now that I think about it, someone tried to remove the POW-MIA sticker off of my dad’s car. They scratched it all up but the sticker held fast.

Not stolen, but defaced.

Back in mid 70’s I had a bumper sticker that read “Don’t Blame Me- I Voted For McGovern”;

one year before Nixon finally resigned, someone violently scratched* out the word “Don’t.”

Logic wasn’t their strong suit, apparently.

  • Carved out the offending word, badly scratching the bumper underneath.

Someone stole my “Republicans for Voldemort” sticker.

Not stolen, but a friend who lives in the District of Michelle Bachman (See The Congresswoman with the crazy eyes and The Congresswoman with the crazy eyes, part II) had her bumper smashed where she had a sticker for Michelle’s opponent. Nothing accidental, someone had clearly taken a hammer or tire iron to that part of her bumper. Several hundred dollars worth of damage. Obviously, someone there strongly disapproved supporting Michelle’s opponent.
