What celeb would you want to hang out with?

For whatever reason, what celebs would you want to hang out with? For the purpose of this thread, pick one each from movies, tv and music.

My picks…(I have others, but didn’t count ones I’ve already met/chatted with etc)

Movie : Leonard Nimoy. (star trek 1-6 and other) he seems to have a geniune interest in science and history and strikes me as a fascinating person.

TV : Wil Wheaton (Best known for ST:TNG) He is a huge geek and has a wide variety of interests that seem like he would be very cool to chat with.

Music : Pink. She comes across as the type that would be a blast to play pool with, have a few drinks and the like.

How about the rest of you?

I would like to console Leeza today.

Alive as well as dead?

Hunter S. Thompson
Charles Bukowski
Keith Moon

Heh.

Matthew McConaughey seems like a good dude, laid back, pretty amusing and he likes the Hill Country and sports. Plus, I bet his boat would be way nicer than mine.

Tim Russert would be great for dinner parties and helping me paint my house.

Neil Young and I could watch movies and compare single malt scotch. I’d probably call him whenever I felt melancholy or couldn’t figure out a chord.

For movies: Kevin Spacey. He always does cool stuff and he just seems like he’d be fun to be around…and I have a crush on him.

TV: The cast of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Yeah, I know they’re not real, but it’s my fantasy.

Music: that’s a tough one. There are lots of dead musicians that I would love to have been able to spend time with: Janis, Jim, Nick Drake, Elliott Smith…but I guess Robyn Hitchcock or Morrissey or jp nataf or anton newcombe would all be super amazing to be around.

Wow. Those three in the same night and you’ll likely end up with a terrible case of the crabs, in jail, or dead.

A night out on the town with George Clooney would probably be an absolute blast.

Jon Stewart would be interesting to party with, maybe even better together with Dennis Miller.

At times I’ve thought that John Cusack and Ed Norton might be fun to hang with.
Not sure why I feel that way and don’t know much about them personally.
Maybe I just like their work.

And Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins.
They impress me as thoughtful, and from what I hear there is considerable overlap among certain of their views and mine.

As I do not go to the movies, or listen to much music, I’ll have to cast my 3 votes for Amanda Tapping.

Movie: Bruce Campbell. One of the smartest, funniest actors around, and good-lookin’, too.

TV: Joe Bob Briggs (former host of TNT’s “MonsterVision”): Like Bruce, he’s smart, funny, and gorgeous. If not Joe Bob, give me Alton Brown. Smart, funny, cute, and he can cook!

Music: I think Dolly Parton would be a great person to pal around with. This gal has a really good head on her shoulders (if you can drag your eyes up that high). According to a friend of mine who used to work for Dolly, she’s sweet-natured, insightful, and sometimes wacky.

I’d like to add the world of literature as a category so that I can announce my immense crush on Stephen King.

If dead:

Frank Sinatra
Truman Capote
Johnny Carson
Picasso
Salvador Dali
Henry Miller
Anais Nin
Ernest Hemingway

Alive:

George Hamilton
Jack Nicholson
Hugh Hefner (without the three airheads)
Donald Trump
John Richardson (art critic, author, Picasso biographer extraordinaire and all around amusing, bitchy, interesting character)
Helen Rogers (Jazzmasters vocalist & lyricist and all around wonderful singer whom I adore.)

Movies: I think it would be fun to hangout with Kevin Smith. Talk movies and pop culture.

TV: Jon Stewart seems pretty down to earth, smart and witty. I suspect the is no issue he doesn’t no at least a little about.

Music: Pete Seeger was great to hang out with. His history reaches back so far and he is a compelling talker and story teller. I don’t agree with all his politics, but I do give more weight to his opinion then most.

Sports: Yogi Berra, a living legend and very nice man. He is a great story teller. I met him once, I would enjoy hanging out with him and finding out more about his life from him.

Jim

Movie: I’d like to hang out with Kate Winslet. She seems very quirky which would work well with my personality.

TV: I’d love to meet Lauren Graham from Gilmore Girls. Pretty much for the same reason.

Music: I so want to meet Dave Grohl. He would seem like a blast to hang out with! He’s so delightfully weird and funny.

I’ll keep the airheads busy if you and Hef need some quality time. You can be my wingman anytime, Maverick.

Spoken like a man with some quality earplugs.

Tom Selleck
Dennis Miller
Dennis Quaid
Kurt Russell

Harrison Ford. No one wants to play Sega with him. :frowning:

Movies: Clooney seems like a cool guy and I would love to hang out with him for an evening.

TV: Stephen Colbert. I am bound and determined to see what he is like out of character.

Music: Nobody comes to mind so I’ll just say Britney Spears. As unhinged as she is, I’d still love to sleep with her.

My real name is Maverick so I assume you were calling me. Sure, I need to talk to Hef about his will and go over some inventory he has there in the mansion.

I would choose John Cusack as a male and Reese Witherspoon as a female to hang out just because they seem decent enough to hang out with.
