David Foley is straight? I saw a t.v. interview with Kevin McDonald, who swore that he was the only straight guy in the group. Maybe he was just pulling our legs though.
BTW, what’s this about John Travolta being gay? I saw the cover of the National Enquirer this week and I can’t believe it. There are a number of celebrities who I guess might be gay, but he was never one of them. Did anybody read that story? What’s the scoop?
Also, I heard that at least one of the Monty Python guys was gay too, but I can’t remember who it was.

The Frasier gang? Well, David Hyde Pierce of course, the guy who plays Bulldog AND (drum roll please) John Mahoney! (The father) No shit, Sherlock.
The writing staff is also almost completely gay, as are most of the directors. I know this because I know someone who used to direct the show. This would explain why the show is so damn good, since I think there is something about being gay that makes men really, really witty.
Pretty much the only striaght guy on the set is Kelsey Grammer.

In the book Sing Out ONJ gives an interview about her homosexuality. Matt Latanzi (sp) is her ex husband is gay.
As for other famous people. All I do is run a phone report from the hotel and when they are calling the Buddy System and other gay lines duh?
Any call made in a hotel (at least the ones I worked in) the phone numbers called out and in the last hotel we had caller ID. We could see who is calling in.
Shoot I worked at one hotel (not in a manger) when one of the PBX operators would listen to all the voice mails of the hotels guests. Illegal - yes. Does it go on - yes.
Like I said living in Chicago its gay community is small. You can see them in gay bars hitting on other men (or women)
The ones I listed I know are gay. Whether or not anyone believes it well it is up to you. Keep my list handy, I’m sure after they’re dead it’ll come out.

As far as Barbara Stanwyck, the only rumors I’d heard about her were from that AWFUL bio a few years back, which said she HAD to be gay, as she slept with so many men that she must have been in denial. Huh? I knew her 1920s roomate, Mae Clarke, who said Babs schtupped every man on Broadway. So I do have doubts about her being gay.

i think I misuderstood the title of this topic. If I understand aright, “outed” means “branded as homosexual.” I thought it just meant “avoided.” That’s why I put in Arnold Schwarzenegger, whom I detest. Him and Michael J. Fox. As for David Hyde Pierce (“Niles” on Frasier), I think the Teeming Millions have been fooled by a splendid actor!
Hey Dougie_Monty, Arnold originally posed for a gay porn magazine but had it pulled before the distribution was set to ensue. He thought that would hurt his carreer. His nude pictures that were in the magazine are available on the internet.
It would make me very happy if Ed Asner and Wilfred Brimley came out of the closet. I don’t think they are gay by any means but it would be nice.
Let’s see, Mark Wahlberg is gay. He did a gay porn movie (yes he was the bottom) before he got signed on to do Boogie Nights. He was adamantly anti-gay when he was involved in his singing carreer. He expressed in a gay magazine (I believe it was the Advocate several years ago) that he was sorry for all the negativity he brought to the community.
