Do you know of any cleaning supplies of any kind or laundry soaps etc. that you think just smell especially fantastic? I am not finding anything all that great.
Also does anybody know of anything that smells like the old Luv My Carpet carpet powder in Ultra Fresh scent? I could have snorted that stuff, honestly.
Other than fabric softener of almost any kind, which, like you, I could snort (although that might get messy), I only like the scent of “natural” cleaners. My favorites are:

[li]Method lavender all-purpose cleaner[/li][li]Apartment 5 citrus/grapefruit all-purpose cleaner[/li][/ul]
(Might have the exact kind of cleaner wrong but I use them as all-purpose)
I definitely see the benefit of enjoying the scent of what I’m using - it makes me much more likely to clean.
Mrs. Meyershas a line of cleaning stuff. The “geranium” line is highly perfumey-flowery, but the “basil” line (which, by the way, smells nothing like a basil plant imho) has a very low-key and agreeable smell. The all-purpose cleaner is great, too.
We’ve been cleaning with white vinegar more and more now. It’s really effective, and despite smelling strongly at first, the smell dissipates quickly … and takes other funky smells with it!
I guess I’ve always like regular old Pine-sol. White vinegar is nice too. At work they use some surface cleaner that smells strongly of cinnamon, very nice.
Dang, just beaten to the Murphy’s. I use it on my hardwood and the “tile” (I think it’s linoleum, circa 1952) in the kitchen, and the ceramic in the bath. Hasn’t harmed a one of 'em.
I also like Clorox’s self cleaning shower spray stuff. As I recently mentioned, I start my morning by wetting down the shower and hitting it with a spray, even if no one’s going to shower that day. It just wakes me up and smells nice.
Pledge has an all-surfaces cleaner/polish I like the smell of–very fresh. They also have another one, in a different container, that smells entirely different. I like the one that’s in the spray bottle.
I have a cleaning service, and they use different things. When they use Fabuloso, it smells nice but the smell lingers in my house and starts to become annoying, and my husband really hates it. But sometimes they use something else entirely, I don’t know what it is, but it leaves a very fresh smell. (Or they could just be spraying air freshener when they leave, I don’t know since i’m never there when they leave.)
I love the Method line. They have Grapefruit (my favorite), a really terrific Cucumber and a beautiful Lavender. They also have a bathroom line that smells like toothpaste. There’s nothing too pine-y or chemical scented.
I kind of like Pinesol, actually, but using it in closed spaces makes me lightheaded.
