Strange.. but it turns me on......

The other day at work, I smelled something that made me completely sit up and take notice… Was it cologne? I sniffed the air… no… But it turned me on … I felt pretty stupid when I found out it was the clean smell of the running dishwasher after someone cleaned the kitchen.
Clothes just out of the dryer do the same thing to me. Needless to say I do a LOT of laundry. I adore the smell of clean

Is it just me? What smells turn you on?

:frowning: I lost my sense of smell years ago. One of my favorites tho, was fresh mowed grass. Man it was like Spring in a bottle!

Cinnamon is like the smell of autumn to me. The smell of a campfire is good. My boyfriend always smells great after he showers, he uses Dove soap. The smell of pumpkin pie is also a fall smell that I love. Clove cigarettes are just yummy (but I don’t smoke)! The smell of rain and certain types of wood are wonderful. I enjoy my sense of smell I guess, lol!

The smell just after a summer lightning storm. The electricity in the air must do something, because unless there’s lightning, that particular smell just isn’t there.

Dog ass.

Just kidding. A freshly bathed GF, without any parfume, just clean hair and skin. Yummy!

Ok, this is probably a little strange too, but I am a dental lab tech, and I love the way the autoclave smells when I open it and all the steam comes out. I guess its from the paper bags you wrap the instruments in, because when i dont bag them it doesn’t smell like that, but yeah, it kind of turns me on. I also really like the way the paste we use to pack dry sockets smells, its kind of like cloves (I think a major component of it actually is cloves).

oranges…

real oranges not citrus scented cleaning products

I recently had a very similar conversation with a friend. Bleach. Love the smell after something’s been cleaned with bleach. (There’s bleach in most dishwasher detergents.) Clean, clean, clean wonderful smell. And then I did a load of whites with bleach and Downy. The smell of those clothes was downright orgasmic.

George Carlin once did a routine about married guys on the make taking off their rings and leaving that white circle of skin which eventually tans over. Don’t remember the exact quote, but it went something like, “Yeah, you might be able to hide that circle on your ring-finger, but there’s not much you can do about that April-Fresh scent!”

I use Downy April Fresh in my wash. Maybe that’s why I have such poor luck with the ladies, huh?

Q

Well, I don’t know, Quasi, lean over here and let me give you a sniff

The clothes of my first “real love” back in junior high/high school always smelled like Downy. Ever since then, whoo, that smell on a man’s clothes starts my heart afluttering.

Yeah…Dunno… If I didn’t have a S.O., I’d prolly be following you around sniffing you. hehe
I don’t like when men bathe in cologne… just a hint of it is good enough… actually, it’s better when you barely smell it. Then you have to get closer and close your eyes and inhale…
damn I’m glad it’s almost visiting time again…

The dusty smell right when it starts to rain in the desert is one of the most perfect scents in the world. I wish I could somehow pump that smell into my house.

Cilantro. Freshly washed cilantro. And caramel. (Not together).

If there isn’t cilantro be-odored and caramel be-odored perfume for women, I really think there ought to be. Hell, I’d even be attracted to Roseanne Barr if she was wearing cilantro perfume.

When I’m walking down the street, and I happen to pass a house with clothes in a dryer that vents to the outside. . .sometimes I’ll just stop and breathe real deep a couple of times!

How did that happen, if6was9?

Specific Ocean: there is a company called Smell This! that makes body sprays, perfumes, lotions, and even scented nail polish in such scents as fresh towels, clean hair, cinnamon roll, and cake batter.

I love the smell of Comet (the cleanser). It smells like chlorine from a pool which I also love. Oh and I love the smell of suntan lotion. The coconuty kind. Brings back so many memories.

The smell in the air just as it starts to rain in the summertime gets to me every time. Reminds me of when I was young and wild (or maybe just young and stupid but either way it was fun). Good times, good times.

Also Polo for Men (the cologne, not the sport). Mmmhmmm…

Another bleach (chlorine) junkie!
And you reminded me of the suntan lotion. I love the smell of Coppertone.
Although I wouldn’t say it turns me on. Just good memories.

The smell on my pillow after I drool in my sleep. It just smells like, well, “sleep.”
