I LOVE the Roomba, but it looks like you have to empty it a lot. It would be perfect to scare the cats with!
My husband bought my dad a really nice set of woodcarving tools. My Dad carves with an exacto, so this will be a switch. Hope he doesn’t cut his fingers off.
I got my Dad (a stocking stuffer, really) a special retractable hanger for birdfeeders (or plants, but it’s gonna be for birdfeeders at our house) which lets down an overhead feeder for refilling with just a single touch. You lift the feeder up, and the loss of tension releases something and the string winds down. When you’re done, up it goes again, high overhead.
I got my mom some nice yarn. She lost her hair to chemo recently, and has been knitting hats like a fiend. May seem like a dull gift but I had lots of fun at the specialty yarn shop.
My girlfriend is getting three cool things. Hee hee hee! The box has been sitting there, in front of her chair, tormenting her for a mont. But she reads the boards, so I don’t want to give it away.
My sister loves dogs, so I got her one of those Everything You Could POSSIBLY Need To Know About Dogs kinda books, covering picking a breed, care, feeding, how to train them, caring for them if they get sick/injured.

A hard to find AD&D set of books for my gaming SO. He’s an RPGer and he has wanted this set for awhile but he’d KILL me dead if he knew I spent 67 bucks on it (shipping included). It will show him that I am one determined chica and that I love him so very much, RPG and all.

My best friend has spent a difficult year looking after her mum who has MS. She has given up much of her social life to share her home with her mother. My husband and I got her a DVD player to help make some of that time spent at home more bearable. Hopefully it will also keep her mum entertained and stop her from nagging at my friend all the time.

my dad tries so hard to play FPS, but he’s terrible. As of now he’s playing Jedi Knight II. I thought that this might help him out a little bit. And hey - if it doesn’t help him out, maybe he’ll let me keep it.
