What could be on this girl's face?

Near my office there is a stretch of road that is very popular with cyclists. I used to walk there almost every day, and I would regularly see a young woman barreling along on her bike. I could never get a really close look at her, and I didn’t want to stare, but there was this stuff on her face every time that I couldn’t identify. It was whitish, but not completely opaque, and somewhat flaky. She had it all over her cheeks, forehead, and chin, but not completely covering every spot. It looked for all the world like she spread cream of wheat or that stuff you use for papier mache on her face.

My only thought was that it is some kind of sun protection, but it doesn’t look like zinc oxide, which is smoother and more opaque. Anyway, who uses that anymore with sunblock available. She is a light blonde, but doesn’t seem to be unusally fair-skinned. There wasn’t anything on any other exposed body parts.

I saw her again to day, riding like a demon, with no helmet, and she had the same stuff on.

Any ideas?

Maybe it’s some kind of facial mask that she puts on before her daily bike ride, and washes off when she gets home to save time or something.

Toothpaste?
In a hurry?

My guess would be some sort of facial…cream. :stuck_out_tongue:
Seriously, maybe acne medication or a daily cleansing mask.

Eww.

Okay, I guess I just wanted to find out if there was something obvious I was overlooking. So maybe she just overdosed on Glamour one day and decided to creatively combine her exercise and beauty routines.

No, no, no. No bike-ake going on. Actually, what it resembles more than anything is a facial mask made of watery mashed potatoes.

You realize I just said, out loud, “Ohhhhhh, bike-AKE, I get it.” At work.

Good thing everyone bailed early.
