What could be wrong with this website?

I’ve been trying to log onto a website I frequent, but I have a problem. They use a captcha to log in, but there IS no captcha there. When I click the “Audio” link, nothing happens. When I click “New Code,” a blank image placeholder appears, then immediately disappears.

They use javascript for both (javascript:xcap.refresh_image(); and javascript:xcap.play_audio()), and I have NoScript, but as far as I can tell, NoScript isn’t blocking anything on the site (I’ve logged in with my settings exactly this way before, and when I turn on script blocking notification, it doesn’t show anything).

I’m using Firefox 3, and would kind of prefer to keep using it, but if this is gonna be a problem that’s replicated on other sites, I may have to bite the bullet and update. But this is so sudden, I can’t imagine that’s the problem.

Anyone have any ideas I can try? Their support is kinda… slow.

Sincere question: what’s the problem with upgrading? Set a restore point before you do it and you can always go back.

Firefox 3.0? Seriously, no one has tested with that in a while. There’s no limit to the number of things that won’t work properly. It was released 4 years ago.
