What Countries Are You Favourable To?

I like Italy, Bologna in particular for the food and the charming hotels. I love to cook and there’s something hearty and filling about Italian food that does it for me. Also Spain, I love Spain - it makes me think of sunshine and oranges
And Switzerland - I’m fascinated by their aura of precision! Plus I love chocolate and cheese.
Maybe not the world’s greatest reasons but hey, we can’t all be deep.

I won’t express any feelings towards countries I haven’t visited properly a couple of times (lack of data), so of the many countries I’ve been to (from closest to furthest away):

[li]I like the other Nordic countries (except Denmark’s current xenofobia): Almost like ourselves. Nice and familiar, but still different enough to be stimulating.[/li][li]I like France. Great food, great wine. The Quartier Latin.[/li][li]I like Italy. Great food, great wine. Sun and milennium-long cultural history.[/li][li]I’ve got a love/hate relationship to USA. Founder of most of the West’s current popular culture, almost a continent by itself with great geographical contrasts, a wonderfully trashy food culture (nobody else could have invented deep-fried cheese sticks!), but with a superiority complex like nobody else, public servants even more arrogant and nasty than France’s and an anti-intellecualism and a right-wing political movement that seems just weird to a European. Oh, and the imperialism/world police thingy.[/li][li]I’ve got mixed feelings about China. Maybe it’s the cultural divide.[/li][li]I love Japan. Great food, excellent engineers. Fascinating culture. Impressive martial aids.[/li][li]I kinda like New Zealand. People seem nice, and they’ve got a countryside I’d really like to explore a lot more.[/li][/ul]

I still haven’t been to Australia, 99% of Africa, SE Asia, the Indian subcontinent or what used to be the Soviet Union influential sphere, though. Pity, I gotta see to that sometime.

Always wanted to visit Turkey, Greece, and Portugal. No idea why, though all the islands around Greece sound interesting to explore.
