What Country Has The Worst Weather?

For me it was Hawaii, it’s so humid. I was stuck there for eight months and my clothes were stuck to me all that time.

Limbo Donnie , you must be the only person I know who disliked the weather in Hawaii, unless you’re trying to keep the tourists out of your home state. If you want hot and sticky, you should try the South in July/August. I’ve actually had my glasses fog up when I go from in the cool air-conditioned house to the outdoors.

Here in Toronto, the weather is always shitty - either too hot and humid or too cold. We must get two weeks of really fine weather a year - one in spring and one in fall. So far, we ain’t had our first nice week yet.

looks out window - yup, cold, raining, like it has been the last couple of weeks

I hate heat and humidity.

I’ve spent far too much time in south central Texas, where summer lasts for 8 months. And I don’t mean a warm, balmy summer full of picnics, either, but heat that falls on your skin like a sledgehammer and shrivels your soul.

Here in western Japan, spring and autumn are knockout, winter is nice and dry, but now I live in dread knowing that the rainy season and summer are coming.

I used to love rain, but not anymore now that I must bicycle almost everywhere. I hate wearing raincoats because that’s like biking in a portable sauna. I learned to ride a bike while holding an umbrella, which was fine until I almost did a Mary Poppins, bike and all, the other day when I got struck with a gust of strong wind. Rainy season - blech, everything gets covered in an inch of mold. I have to buy mold killer practically every week, with the smell of chlorine searing my lungs.

Then comes summer with temps of 90+ Fahrenheit and humdity of 90+%, with NO AIR CONDITIONING AT WORK. I bike to work with ice packs strapped to my body under my clothes. I’m gonna hate life soon.

Which is why I go nuts hearing people from cool places like England or Ireland or Scotland complain about their weather. At least they don’t arrive at work at 7:30 AM, dripping sweat, with no AC and no showers.

Wow, soul-shriveling is the perfect description of heat in the south. I lived in South Carolina for four years and felt it all. The heat is so depressing.
