That’s an unfair characterization of my boy Loki. He’s a trickster, not a *complete *arsehole.
Well, you also gave us Glenn Close, Vin Scully, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Noah Webster, P.T. Barnum, Frederick Law Olmsted, Ethan Allen and Dean Acheson, so don’t be too hard on yourself.

Now Mayer tells the publication that he feels especially betrayed by Swift because she singled him out during a rough period in his life. “I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I’d already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you’ve ever been, someone kicked you even lower?” The pair were linked together from 2009 until June 2010, after Swift split from Taylor Lautner.
Looks like you didn’t have a Swift Pass, John - just like you didn’t have a 'Hood Pass.

It was way worse than saying he had a “Hood Pass”. We had a thread on the subject after the Playboy interview came out: Oh....you're *that* stupid; got it (John Mayer's Playboy interview) - Cafe Society - Straight Dope Message Board
Mayer got some heat for using “the N-word” in the interview, but IMHO in context this was nowhere near the stupidest or most offensive thing he said. When Playboy followed up on his comments about how black people loved him by asking if black women were attracted to him, Mayer chose a less-than-sensitive way to express that he wasn’t attracted to black women…then went off into a bizarrely detailed rant/fantasy about how African-American actress Kerry Washington was hot but also “white-girl crazy” and probably a slut.
True, especially considering that many white men won’t consider a woman dateable if she isn’t a generic Jessica Simpson clone:smack:
