What did Meg Ryan do to her face?

Isn’t collagen temporary? If so, then who cares? It was a botched job and it will absorb into her body eventually. Right?

(Yes, I agree it looks horrible.)

Here is a much more neutral picture.

I think she did something to her cheeks and that’s what making her look so different.
OK, enough with Meg. I’m just a lot more dissapointed then I should be about a perfect stranger getting work done on her face then I should be. It’s just that she was pretty just the way she was and was aging so gracefully. Ah well.

Hmmmm. . . .

Let’s try that with a little more coherence:

I think she had something done to her cheeks that changed the shape of her face, making her look almost like someone else.

Enough with me posting pictures of Meg Ryan’s new face.

I should not care so much about a perfect stranger’s face and what said stranger had done to it.

In my opinion she was naturally beautiful and was aging gracefully.

Gag I thought she was so beautiful before. Now-- shudder

In the Star cover photo she looks like she was separated at birth from Jack Nicholson’s Joke. Not a good look for anybody.

Why can’t people age gracefully? If your career was based on your looks perhaps you should’ve saved and invested while you still had them or, at least, had a backup career. Meg Ryan isn’t a great actress but could have a career doing some of those middleaged roles Olympia Dukakis and the Stapleton sisters did before they moved into senior roles.

I don’t think she’s had something done with/to her cheeks; she’s had her under-eyebags lifted. Too far. They’re concave now.

I always thought they were what made her face distinctive. Now she just looks like everyone else, with trout lips to boot.

She looks like the lead singer from the Dixie Chicks in the picture posted in the OP.

Reminds me of Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing. She had plastic surgery several years ago, and now she looks like a completely different person. And all she had done was her nose. Weird.

OK, time for the armchair plastic surgeons (like the one who obviously did the work on Meg. Ba-dum-bum) to weigh in…is it medically possible to turn her back?

Or at least, convince her to go into voice acting.

No one must have seen Kate & Leopold because I remember when I saw that 2 years ago, first time she appeared on screen I thought “Oh, no what have you done?” Her weird lips annoyed me throughout the whole movie.

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding! We have a winner! Yes, indeed, NO ONE saw Kate & Leopold.

(okay, I’ll confess–I’ve never seen ANY Meg Ryan movie)

Ok, I admit, I saw Kate and Leopold. She was clearly annoying. He was delicious.

How can you go this long without seeing any? Top Gun? Harry Met Sally? Innerspace, even?

Never saw Kate and Leopold, though…

Holy Crap on a Stick!

What a stupid move. She destroyed her beauty.

Well, I saw the lates Bazzar (sp?) magazine in the checkout lane, and Meg looks almost “normal,” aside from slightly “off” lips.

It occured to me that in the early, post-surgery photos, Meg might still have been experiencing some tissue swelling and inflamation from the trauma of surgery. Any redness could have been covered up by makeup. After enough time had passed, her face might have gone back to a more or less “normal” size.
