Hm Good question.

Moved from WI to CA - culture shock
Paid off most of all my outstanding debts
Managed NOT to cash in my IRA for once and actually established a bank account for it instead of hoping my job would do it
Moved in with my boyfriend and survived
Didn’t kill said boyfriend
Said boyfriend didn’t kill me
Managed to convince said boyfrind that I would be a much more bitter person without my pets so he let me bring them out with me
Fell in love with said boyfriend over and over and over…
bought a 62-inch plasma HDTV and a KILLER stereo system for surround sound (okay, the BF really did this, but I live here, so it’s mine by extension)
Took a journalism class at Berkley and got an A
Lived through my sister’s wedding without alienating ANY of my family and actually managing to come off pretty good
Got through Deus Ex 2 and Thief 3 and Diablo II (so…I’m slow)
Wrote some damn good articles and filled up my portfolio with things I am truly proud to have my name on
Got over some longstanding hangups and accepted who I was
Finally found a cocktail that helps my manic depression (Welbutrin AND Lexapro)
Learned how to play petanque

Made many new friends
Worked on a political campaign
Helped several people
Lost five pounds (hey, it’s a start)

  1. I married Jasper.
  2. I was in a car accident that, although wasn’t my fault, is ruining my credit in America.
  3. I moved to the Netherlands.
  4. We got two kittens that are both delightful and monstrous.
  5. I started learning Dutch (albeit slowly).
  6. I went to Germany and Prague for the first time, and met some very cool Dopers.
  7. Started learning how to be domestic for two people instead of one.
  8. Lost too much weight, but am too anxious to put it back on.
