I’m hungry.
I just finished my morning tea. Had an English muffin with butter and marmalade.
{Radar O’Reilley} Ah, Banger{Radar O’Reilley off}
Soon as I read that, could not think of it though.
Needs black pudding and chips, and perhaps a bit of streaky bacon, too.
When we went out for breakfast (what is shown in the picture plus my additions above) at the Rock Cafe in Dunoon I usually had a raspberry shake to wash it down. A pint of cider would have gone well with it, too.
I’ve had them with blueberries, cranberries, and raisins.
Mmmmmm! I’ll look for them at the supermarket.
Don’t forget the Spam!
I have a tin of haggis on the shelf, too. I’ll have that with breakfast on St Andrew’s Day.
I can do without the kippers and fried mushrooms, have never had white pudding, and definitely don’t want the baked beans.
Haggis is wonderful. Wouldn’t mind a couple of Scotch eggs, too.
In the UK, we call that ‘elevenses’. Traditionally people would stop at 11 (at home or work) for a sit down, a cup of tea and a snack. The tradition has fallen out of fashion, but we still get a break around that time at school for a snack.
So it’s not just me and hobbits that do “Second Breakfast”!
I’ve just learnt to cut out snacking in a drive to keep weight down/not have to go on a crash diet.
Alas, I have not learned that… but I’m trying to choose healthier snacks.

And if you and the hobbits are lucky, your second breakfast will include Hobnob biscuits.
Darn, I miss those. The one store in my city that carried them burned down.
Where are you located? I’m pretty sure Walmart in Toronto carries them, in the “exotic” European/British food section. (Or at least they did, last time I looked.)

Scotch eggs, mmmmmmmmmmmm!
Don’t forget the Spam!
Ooh noooo, I thought we’d consigned spam to WWII.
Yesterday, I had
coffee
bowl of frosted mini-wheats
porterhouse steak, two small baked potatoes, bread, glass of milk
No beer, just wasn’t feeling it
