Bridge to Terabithia…we were impressed by the story line and the actors, even though (or because of) there was much less animation than we expected.
The Amazing Race, The Dresden Files, and Battlestar Galactica. Then I switched over to ABC and they were still giving out awards.
The Dogfights marathon on History Channel.
Here Comes Mr. Jordan on TCM.
I played with my Wii…
Zelda Twilight Princess rocks!
I watched Shakespeare in Love and Branagh’s Henry V while playing Civilization IV.
A couple episodes of Special Unit 2 I had DVRed off SciFi and Psych from USA.
My insanely hot girlfriend trying on different outfits.
Then she made me watch an Inconvienient Truth.
The bitch.
Miami Ink. And reruns of Law & Order:SVU.
Andy Griffith. They had the one where cons tell Andy that they’re going to make a TV show on the sheriff without a gun. You see a young Gavin McLoud of Love Boat fame as well as Miss Bunny from Gomer Pyle. Good show. But I would rather have watched Lochdale’s.
First the Red Green Show.
Then Antiques Roadshow.
A few Simpsons reruns on Fox, and an episode of Slings & Arrows on my new season two DVDs.
DVR the Amazing Race and watched it around 8 CST, then played with my Wii.
I watched the Dirty Jobs marathon.
Come on people send in some dirty job ideas for Mike so this show stays on the air, pretty please.
A Poirot mystery on DVD (“The Mysterious Affair at Styles”), then went to bed early.
I forgot it was Oscar night until this morning.
My computer screen.
…that is, I was working in the newsroom through the ceremony, although we do have a rabbit-ears TV that we mostly use to watch Important Sports Game when we’re not ahead in layout enough to take an hour off and go to the bar for the last twenty minutes.
It’s grainy, has no color unless someone’s touching the right side and left antenna simultaneously, and has a background sound fizz. We had it on through the ceremony (low-volume, and we were running a pool) and whenever a new presenter would come on, we’d make the news editor (whose desk is closest to it) give it the magic touch so we could see what color their outfit was.
For my part, I’d rather have been watching Slings & Arrows with Max the Immortal. (Newsroom doesn’t get Sundance, DAMMIT!)
Two episodes of Rome on HBO.
Part two of The Stand followed by an episode of Babylon 5, the one where the Minbari ranger gets his ass handed to him by a bunch of thugs, and then he recovers and whups some Brown Sector ass. Plus apparently Sheridan shtupped Captain Lochley back in the day. If I was Delenn I’d be pissed, too.
From 9-10, I watched our PPV feed of EastEnders, and from 10-11, I watched Battlestar Galactica. At 11, I switched over to the Lifetime rerun of Grey’s Anatomy.
E.
The Oscars were on? When?
